this is my favourite part of the day. we are both done with everything we had to do and we get to collapse into each other in bed. your head pressed into my chest, my arms holding you close, fingers running along your back. it’s peaceful, it’s perfect, it’s all i want. we don’t have to do a single thing tonight besides go to sleep. in these quiet moments, all i feel is gratitude, gratitude for you, for us, for our life together. when i’m here, when i’m with you, it feels like home, a feeling i’ve sought my entire life, but here with you it’s real. i say it all the time, but i mean it, you are always the best part of my day.
