I personally was really surprised by all the backlash if i'm being honest. Esp since it's not exactly new news that the boys DO do cringe stuff? But it's all for the love of the game lol. This kinda stuff either stems from the decade old industry trend of doing "aegyo" (acting cute), from inside jokes like "you got no jams" "lajibolala" etc.. etc.. or from smth fans hyped up like jin's hand kiss that they just went with. They often acknowledge themselves that it can be awkward/cringe but again, it's all for the love of the game lmao. Both feelings can exist. At the end of the day nobody can speak on behalf of bts or even army as a whole, there's way too many of us for that lol but i do appreciate you coming on to clear the air! I'm sure most will feel the same as well 💜

I believe it’s completely okay for us to have different opinions about the members’ actions and different tastes when it comes to their music. Honestly, that’s one of the things we appreciate about you guys—the honesty in your reviews and the raw, genuine reactions. We don’t have to love or approve of everything BTS does just because we’re fans. We can appreciate their work and music while also acknowledging that there will be moments or songs that don’t necessarily resonate with us. What matters is the choice of words and how those opinions are delivered. At the end of the day, the goal is to react to BTS’ work genuinely and honestly, not to please every ARMY. We wouldn’t want you to reach a point where you feel like you have to fake your reactions or become overly anxious about every word that comes out of your mouth because you’re afraid fans might get upset and you’ll end up having to apologise. That wouldn’t feel genuine anymore, and I think your authenticity is what made many of us enjoy your content in the first place. 💕 And to ARMYs, I understand that some of the wording and delivery may have been off, and it’s okay to point that out respectfully. But I also hope we don’t expect them—or any other reactor—to always say positive things. They’re human too, and just like us, they have their own preferences, opinions, and perspectives. They’re here to react, and I think most of us would rather hear an honest reaction than have someone pretend to love everything just to please the fandom. Plus, they’re still baby ARMYs! 🥹 They have so much BTS content to catch up on, and I’m sure it can get overwhelming sometimes, especially with all the things we keep asking them to watch. ❤️ The apology was very sweet. ❤️ Personally I didn’t get the backlash. I dont see the big deal in pointing out something cringe. The boys do act cringe sometimes and everyone in the world does too. I also found some of the things they did in that concert cringe. It’s not a big deal if someone found him cringe in that moment. It’s not like you were saying other ppl aren’t allowed to like that scene and have to find it cringe. You were just stating what you felt in that moment lol. I also cringe when I watch sometimes and it’s not a big deal. There are other ppl who don’t find it cringy and that’s fine. But it’s weird to get mad at you over your own opinion especially when it’s not even offensive. You weren’t calling Jin a slur or hating on him. You simply said that you were cringed out in that moment. Not a big deal, Everyone can be cringy. I’ve cringed at my friends too. Does that mean I hate my friends? No. It’s just a feeling you can’t control. Finding something cringe doesn’t automatically mean it’s malicious or an insult. I think some ppl were being dramatic in the comments. I think it’s fine if ppl in the comments didn’t find that scene cringy but I don’t see why it’s a problem if you did. I think the minority that were annoyed were just loud in the comment section and got unnecessarily defensive over you finding something cringy that they didn’t. At the end of the day your apology was sweet and I hope you know it’s not a big deal. You can find something cringy that other ppl didn’t find cringy. You’re allowed to have that emotion and opinion. It doesn’t automatically mean you hate someone and it doesn’t mean it’s an insult.

Hopefully this incident won't make you guys refrain from reacting honestly, because at the end of the day, there's nothing worse than not being true to yourselves. Also, in regards to the waving of the hand towards someone, the western version of the "come over here" gesture is seen as rude in asian countries so that's why the palm down way is used.

However, it is also a fact that when everything is always addressed and you have to apologize for everything, the reactions can start to feel like it's not genuine or true to you. I've been an ARMY for the past 7 years and there are so many cringe things that the boys have done or said that I've lost count haha 😆💜 I really hope the TTR guys, Seb especially, don't start censoring their honest opinions because of this as there are already too many reactors, unfortunately, who do that in fear of getting backlash.

i get that, i'm sorry if i offended anyone. i didn't curse or insult seb directly though. i did call the other commenters lsers though bc in my opinion they were acting like it. i don't like how no one likes to speak up to defend jin, but the moment i do, they come speaking up for seb. like i think it's fine if you defended jin last video and then came to defend seb, then i get you since at least you spoke up for jin. but i really don't like how all these people were defending only seb and didn't speak up for jin [bc i was literally the only one to defend him in that run bts reaction], which they would NEVER do if it was their bias. i still stand by that and i think it's super lame behavior.

honestly i think its pretty obv, the same ppl who think 'no apology is needed' but then turn around and get defensive and cry over a grown male reactor *among other things* but say its weird to get defensive over a bts member (jin esp) who is the one constantly getting comments made about him, when ppl let alone army should already KNOW why continuous snide comments are not going to get a positive reaction from real ARMY, or actually just decent ppl who know its not nice to constantly quip at someone, but then i saw some ppl saying they say similar things and a lot of them are multis so the apology clearly wasnt for them. its because it's jin specifically, people like to label him 'underrated' so when thousands come out to defend him it makes some uncomfortable which is interesting, because im reading thru a lot of comments saying 'you dont need to apologize!' and being defensive, but then saying people are too defensive over Jin. gigi it's clear hypocrisy tbh.

girl once again you know it's not about the 'cringe' comment 😭 he often jabbed jin, even in the most recent run bts episode when he was saying jin was 'ass' even tho others scored lower than him (and i was the only one to comment on that, nobody else said a single thing in that comment section defending jin). i'm not going to bring it back up bc i'm so glad seb said sorry and is going to change, but these comments are so irritating bc everyone is acting like the backlash is over that one cringe comment. it's not. it's been going on for years and i've been trying to CALL it out for years, but it's never happened. somehow my comment gained traction last video so that's how TTR saw it. please don't invalidate our feelings and act like we were upset bc he called one single jin moment cringe, we are not that sensitive. but when he gets attacked by one single person repeatedly almost every other episode, yeah it's fucking annoying, sorry

Hey Gigi. Forgive me for being confused, but where did i invalidate your feelings? As you, yourself just said, your comment about his remark caught traction and that's why i assume(?) It blew up. The backlash over his comment is what surprised me bc the boys doing silly/"cringe" things isn't exactly unfounded, it's part of the fun. I never said he shouldn't have addressed it. In fact, i'm glad he did bc there were a lot of ppl who were unclear on where he stood with all of this and i think it's great that he came on to clear the air. I don't think anyone was necessarily wrong i was just surprised it blew up in the way that it did. I hope everyone is feeling a bit better about it/more or less on the same page now that both sides have said their piece 😊

I get what you're saying but i keep bringing up the cringe comment bc that's specifically what i was referring to in my og post lol. Whilst i'm sure there were comments, from ppl like yourself, bringing up previous incidents, comments on his remark in that video were the main ones i saw. And TO ME, that just seemed like a strange hill to die on bc of all the things i've already mentioned. But like i said, there are so many of us with different thoughts and feelings that there are inevitably gonna be times where we're not all on the same page. And that's totally fine! I just hope that when that happens we can approach eachother respectfully about it (this isn't a dig at you btw just in general lol). Either way, i'm glad it's been hashed out and i hope everyone feels seen and heard. This is clearly smth that needed to be addressed so we can all move on from it. I don't think either them nor any of us want a community full of pent up resentment. That's just miserable for everyone lol 😭

Very true, Gigi and Angel. These "no apology needed" and "they're overly sensitive" people are so painful to think they're armys. How they would say "love you Seb" and showing no care at all for Jin was so nauseating. Their only argument was the "sarcastic" comment, totally ignoring the fact of the constant jabs on Jin over the months. They couldn't understand how people can get fed up if it happens over and over again. And Gigi was even better than me, I had already left comments months ago defending Jin, I left and just came back during Run Seokjin when I saw the development on Seb -- but Gigi always had the nicest comments before so I can tell she just blew up and had enuf. It's crazy, but oh well, we have no control over "armys" who love invalidating other army's feelings, esp that it doesnt involve their biases. 🤦🏻‍♀️
