ayyyy. not to much on us americans 🤣🤣

!Yikes!

Oh God I’m gonna have to clutch my pearls for this

愛

i’m scared to watch 😭✌️

thvsblossom7

I loooove this show but I can’t bring myself to watch the “kidnapping” part. Breaks my heart every time, they were babies 😭

Mich

Eeek I don’t think I can watch lol

Ellie 🎀

I have mixed feelings about this show. It was definitely an important experience for them, but the first few episodes are tough to get through 🫣

Gigi loves Jin

a totally crazy show, but it did influence them a lot so it's very important!!!

Eva

I know it’s going to be a hard watch

Loly

I hate this it breaks my heart😭😭

Gigi loves Jin

no seb i completely agree as an american army, america DID treat them badly. us armys never did, we always made to show up even in the AMA awards and their first televised appearances etc . but the american industry themselves did them very dirty, only real ones are halsey and coldplay tbh...

mikrokosmos .✦ ݁˖

I hate the kidnapping prank so much. It’s even worse because they were in a foreign country, and the members had varying levels of English. I can’t even imagine how terrifying that must have been

Simona-Elena 🦂

I don’t know if you guys noticed, but Jimin moved beside Jungkook after that man yelled in his face :( imo RM was shocked and confused, Yoongi was cold, while Jimin looked confused at first and then looked pissed at the whole situation (he used to lose his temper quite easily back in the day). Poor Hobi, V and JK tho ☹️☹️ JK was only 16

saiLa24

Guys let’s move on and be happy of what they are achieving rn. If it weren’t for this kind of show or training, can be good or harsh to anyone here it is valid. But remember part of success is a very rough road, people threw allthe hate and being harsh to them but because they are Bulletproof and ARMY is their Shield, they don’t even recognize the word “Hate” 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Gatha Naranath

i hate this prank bro and the way Jungkook was so young it just wasnt okay. i like that they learned a lot about hip hop this show but some of the things were just weird...

Bangtan’sNikki ⁷

I hate this show😭😭😭😭 I get why it happened however 😒🫩🥹 I can’t watch again but enjoy TTR💜

lii1in

YESSSSSSS

Gigi loves Jin

it's not a very funny prank to me, poor jk was only 16 and they made him worry about being kidnapped and wishing he had more time to spend with his parents :(

Gigi loves Jin

19:47 jin fixing his hair in the middle of a kidnapping is FRYING me ksjkjsdfhksdjf that's really worldwide handsome

JungkooksNose🌟

There are also behind the scenes to each episode, so remember to watch those as well!

Alice ⊙⊝⊜

I’d say this is the most controversial BTS show among ARMY, which I’m sure you understand why after the first episode 😅 But they definitely learned a lot through the experience, so it’s worth watching at least once

Bernice

It really hurts to watch them go through what they did back then, but look at them NOW!!! That's the only way to get past the first few episodes. I love the final results because their hustle and grind always shows in their performances... 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

EuphoricLady Bish

Im so excited for you guys. Just remember you will feel a lot of emotions watching this, you will get angry, annoyed, pissed and cringe and laugh. It will be a crazy ride for you. But this series made me respect BTS even more and adored them more. I suffered watching this, and as a baby army, you need to experience what we experienced. And ofcourse you will learn more of their adventure and you will know more of BTS members character. 😂

ni 🫶🏽

honestly, the show gave me very mixed feelings as a black person. I love the fact that the boys understand the cultural importance of hip-hop in America, and are being taught by black ppl and those legends who pioneered it. However, I also really disliked the use of 3-4 large black men displayed as a threat in the kidnapping prank (the kidnapping had to have been traumatising anyway as they were so young and in a foreign country where they couldnt speak the language fluently) and it rubs me the wrong way and plays into stereotypes and felt like a caricature. Overall, it is a hilarious and cute show; those r just some of my gripes on it.

Gio rgia

This was fun😂😂 a bit traumatic, but fun💀

Alice ⊙⊝⊜

The mentors are one of my favourite things about this show, (with the exception of Dante). Nate and Tony are sweethearts, and I really enjoyed seeing them with BTS. The mentors they meet in the later episodes are great too

Isa

A hard watch this show, the boys were so young and the way they were treated

JungkooksNose🌟

The part at the end where you stopped is not something from the next episodes, so remember to watch it all the way to the end! In future episodes, there will be a lot of extra scenes at the end, so please don’t skip them 😊

jayjay ⁷

As a black army I think coolio was really important for this show, coolio was never mean he was always just tough with many people especially with the life he grew up with and if you grew up around black peoples as a boy you’d probably understand.

gaby

I’m scared

Britt⁷

LMAO Jin will never be caught having a bad day

bee

Yeah whichever broadcaster was in charge of this (mnet maybe???) really should’ve thought that through more.

Lara

I don't think I can watch this show again lol but good luck!

Stella⁷

I kinda really love this show.. It's a funny but also a painful show to watch bcz you'll that this show them about real life (struggle, hardwork, responsabilities...). This experience make them what they are today: awesome careful humble hardworking smart men! And I'm really proud of them!

2026-10-08 19:00 Why are they watching this??? 😭
2026-10-08 14:17

crnrds

Seb I fully agree with you. As an army that lives in America, seeing how poorly they’re being treated here is so disappointing. It’s also so cute to see all of you being so protective of the boys! 🥺 thank you for being great armies!

crnrds

Omg also!!! TOOONNNYYYYYY 💖💖💖💖

Ezel⁷ ⊙⊝⊜

Don’t forget to watch till the end next time bc there are behind the scenes

Emma💟

I think overall I’m glad you decided to watch this? Some moments are uncomfortable (like the kidnapping in this episode), but there are also some genuinely sweet and important moments for their journey. It’s also an interesting insight into early BTS

spoopyjhope

I love this show I feel like everyone is being over dramatic lol, there are some great moments and most of their mentors were amazing

Liyan

❤️❤️❤️❤️

Liyan

Thank uuuu

Emma💟

AHL has behind the scenes 💜 please don’t forget about them

Ezel⁷ ⊙⊝⊜

It is a bit BUT they do learn a lot of things they learnt soooo. After the 2nd ep it gets better i think

___

This is scary

G. A

Oh my…I know this is part of bts’s path but some parts are so hard to watch, at least for me 😆😆

Jessy

Agree! please include behind the scenes with each episode, it's equally as entertaining as the main episodes 🙏

saiLa24

23:23 Seb’s reaction is insane 😁

1osaki

Some of yall love to swear up and down this show is like the worst thing on earth and its not. Yes its cringe and has its moments where things could have been done differently like this first episode bc it kind of rubs me the wrong way as a black person myself, but this show I feel is really important bc it helped them learn more about black culture and hip hop culture itself.

G. A

I commented without playing the video and looking othe ppl comments, and most of us are scared🤣🤣🤣

yob

overall this show is pretty cringe but theres alot of moments from it I love so I kinda hate when armys are like "EWW AHL?? IM GONNA THROW UP NOOOO" its just weird how extra ppl get and dont want anyone to watch it ever.. idk

yob

also I know you guys are used to the strong cool jk with muscles but he was 16 hereeee😭😭 that prank was wayyy too far

Jessy

Yes! I told you guys would enjoy this show now didn't I??🤪 Jokes aside, besides some cringe\tough love kinda moments throughout, it's just such an entertaining fun, wholesome show overall. The boys learn alot from this experience. Also would be great if you include the behind the scenes with each episode you're reacting to, thanks for listening to my suggestion 💜💜💜

yob

because this is a bts reaction channel girl.. we watching bts

Jessy

Yeah, I never understood the level of hate this show gets

Jessy

Agree

BRJ

Tony is back 🙌

Chimchiminie

Thank you for finally reacting to American Hustle Life. 🥹 This is honestly such an important part of BTS’ legacy to me, and I really believe every ARMY should watch it at least once. This is where BTS began. Before everything they became, they were seven young guys being trained to be hip-hop artists first, and then they gradually transitioned into the artists we know today. That’s why American Hustle Life feels so special to me. You get to see them when they were still figuring things out, working hard, struggling, learning and chasing their dream. Knowing where they started and seeing where they are now makes watching this back so incredibly meaningful. For me, this is a piece of BTS’ history that shouldn’t be forgotten. It reminds us that their journey didn’t start with the global success — it started here. 💜

YoonTaeJin

I dont want to cry again it breaks my heart everytime i see any clip from this first 3 episodes🥺

d ⁷

oh boy🫩

yob

I wont say everyone who doesnt like ahl is racist or something because there are genuine valid reasons to not like it but I cant act like it doesnt obviously play a role in the overly dramatic hatred of this show.. just my opinion tho.

Ingrid

Well I have eyes and I also pay for BTS, I just don't understand why reacting to this cringe show when there are so many great content. Don't piss me off with your tone.

gaby

this is such a hard watch im not gonna lie 😭

Ava Marie

Even though the show is problematic, it is so important for BTS. Before this, they did really not know much about hip-hop, which is not good when they want to use hip hop music. And the tutors are intense becuase hip hop is so important to them, it's not just music or a style, it's a apart of a culture. I think a lot of new artists, not just kpop, can learn from this show, and appreciate hip hop, instead of appropriating it.

Baylis

i’m gonna have to skip this one, it’s a hard watch 😭 but it was important for them to experience so enjoy! i’ll see yall on the next one.

Riz Kim

This is probably one of the BTS reality shows I rarely rewatch not because it isn’t good, but because it’s such an emotional rollercoaster. But please know that this was such an important chapter in their career. As a hip-hop group, this experience became part of the foundation they needed to grow into the artists they are today. I remember RM giving them songs to listen so they could broaden their horizon about hiphop and music in general. And honestly, this era gave us Dark & Wild, which is still one of my favorite BTS albums to this day. So… just hang on tight while watching this show. It’s a ride. 😭

Aris

I hate that kidnapping 'prank' so much, they were so young in a different country and didn't speak the language. just an awful way to treat them and definitely is not 'good content'. idk man maybe i'm too sensitive, but i hate it

BRJ

Bangtan basics 💜 ♥️

OT7LUVHARBINGER

The babies. This is a must watch show for everyone that wants to be called ARMY. You need to understand their hip hop roots. Who they are. Stop with the cringe nonsense. BTW I watched it in 2014 and didn't kms. They were babies and were doing a lot. Appreciate the hustle

Kiki Varas

Damn this is the only time I can’t watch you guys. Love BTS and you guys but I get second hand embarrassment watching American Hustle Life. Good luck guys lol.

ella 🌻

Be warned that the first few episodes are pretty intimidating

Mirian Garcia

I agree that this show was cringe and it has its moments but I'm glad you're watching it. It's essential to BTS to learn from actual Black American rappers, they learned a lot from them and how to respect the culture.

Cookie

I can't watch these episodes. Every time I see these clips, my heart sinks. I'd feel for anyone going through this, but as an ARMY, it hurts more seeing what they went through. They were just kids. Kids who left everything behind, worked so hard, and got put through so much while still trying to smile for the camera. They deserved so much better 💔 and I'm just so proud of how far they've come 💜

Tashe

Part of me was so happy that you’ll finally get to see the old Taehyung, kekekekekeke! I’m sooo excited for this whole American Hustle Life reaction series. Thank you! 💜

Aaliyah Contreras

omg this is an important part of their journey but i remember i would get so mad at the tae treatment 😭 but other than that they were so cute!! they learned so much in this show. i especially love the singer that helps tae jk and yoongi

Nikki Miave

I’m going to go through AHL with you guys because I honestly had a hard time watching this one on my own and I have been an army since 2019 lol It’s not that it’s anything bad I just haven’t had the drive to pick up this particular series 🥹🙈

elarmyhope73

I love so much American Hustle life😍😍😍💜💜💜💜

sara ♡

Ohh yall are about to witness the ultimate bromance between ChimChim Bieber (Jimin) and Tony 😭🤣

Tashe

Ahhh excited for the next episode, huhuhu the mixed feelings..

Rachel💟

oh my god its been years since I've seen this. Its a hard watch but its also really sweet to see early BTS. Also, this series really made me fall in love with Tae even more

Aaliyah Contreras

i forgot how young they were😭 tae, jk, jimin were all so innocent back then!!

Tashe

Hehehehhehe there’s more to come Seb, at least for V he remained cool til end.. and funny kekekekekke excited for that ep

wen

idk if I can watch, they’re so rude to them and don’t get me started on they treating tae like he’s stupid asf.

2026-10-09 13:00 Whether you or other people either like or dislike this show, it's an important part of BTS's history, as a group, whose foundation is hip hop, and patrons requested this reaction. From what i just watched it seems TTR are enjoying watching so far. They seem enthusiastic about watching the rest of it as well. You can skip it if u want, but other people do want to watch these reactions.

Oh jeez here we go 😅 def mixed feelings about this show and I do not like that they made the guys film this while also working on their dark and wild album… it’s just way too much they were so overworked. That being said the show has a lot of sweet moments but the first couple eps are a little tough to get thru imo

Andreaaa

AHL is sucha foundation for how bts grew into themselves and got into making music. I don't agree with people that say you shouldn't watch it because it's such a starting point from them and you can see them grow so much during the show. (eventhough some punishments are pretty harsh and unnecessary)

sara ♡

10:02 baby Jungkook is sooooo cute my heart is melting 😭😭 what they put this poor baby through was not right omfg

Holly lyon

What Seb said is 100% accurate. To see how they were so excited about America, only for them to be done like that. I've been a stan since 2016, and seeing them give up a dream they had for so long because of the toxic industry was so sad. At least we all know that BTS are bigger than the Grammys. They were just young boys from Korea with a dream🥲

Frokenmariaw ⟭⟬💜

I just got my new Nothing Pro over-ear headphones, and one thing that becomes very obvious with really good headphones is how much the TV’s sound quality affects the experience 😅 You’ve noticed yourselves that your audio isn’t the best, and with my new headphones it’s even more noticeable that the TV speakers don’t have the best sound. Maybe it’s time for some new speakers? 😂 And, as I’ve mentioned a few times before (and I know several others have too), could you please make the video you’re reacting to larger on the screen? It’s really hard to see what you’re watching, especially on a phone. 🥹🙏

Margi

Little Jungkook and his Iron Man socks 😭💔

Margi

Suga wasn't aware, (nobody was) that's just how he is I guess

fatou ੈ✩‧₊˚

Totally agree but good thing they learned a lot from this experience really

TAMA

ni, This is precisely why I probably will not be tuning into these shows. For some people this was their first introduction to black folks and I'm sure some believed us to be__________. I hope TTR was enlightened before delving into this show. Fingers crossed!

sara ♡

and the yogurt scene 😭😭😭😭

NABI

I’ve never watched it so I’m soooo excited

E

I'm gonna skip watching this show with y'all 😭

Lori Koo

The way they pulled out this kind of content is like them joining any organization or fraternity like you want to know hiphop? you want to learn about hiphop culture? you want to be one of us? then be one. know their rules, their games and no special treatment. As Bang PD said, they were there to work not play.

tara

i actually cannot with this show, especially the first half bc its just such a cringefest unfortunately 😭 obv no fault of the boys tho but ughhh

M.R.

Watching this again is so nostalgic . They were so young. During the filming of this show, Jin - 23, Suga - 22, RM and Jhope - 20, Jimin and V - 19 and JK- 17. Yes, the Wstrn music industry did them dirty since then until now. Grammys was their dream (that now has become a dream and a big possibility of finally getting that dream, for the rest of the kpop industry as well). It’s sad that BTS opened that BIG DOOR and PAVED THE WAY for the rest of the kpop industry that has made the genre a mainstream juggernaut it has become today and another act will get the Grammys before them , which we all know it will be used as a mockery of some fandom’s that their faves got it first . But BTS made a stand and the fact that they made the most Iconic and Prestigious award giving academy to even rethink or question themselves to the point of consulting with people in the industry if they should go ahead with the new category says a lot about the BTS influence . I mean bts announcing that they will not be submitting for this year made more noise than whatever other news that Grammys came out with for a long time.

Mimi

100% agree showcasing those stereotypes to a predominantly non back audience was very weird to me

M.R.

It’s so heart warming to see that V along with the members cheering and watching the Dodgers game and a decade later he was invited to do the Ceremonial First Pitch which caused a five fold (5x) tickets sales increase . V acing his left handed pitch was Kpop history in itself . Not to mention the commentator saying “Left handed Dodgers First Pitch Star! Most superstars are known by one name, but this guy is so big that they only know him by one letter” . It so happens that the “FC Bayern Munich” largest sports club in the world by official membership &ranks as one of the most valuable &dominant football institutions on earth announced V as their favorite member of BTS!

Mimi

As a black person from La this show was very hard to watch the first time. There were some good heart warming scenes but overall to push certain stereotypes on a Korean tv show to a predominantly nonblack audience was very off putting. Obviously this show is an important part of their story but there scenes that I refuse to watch twice.

jackncereal

im black from philly and i am thinking like bru why did they have to get 3 big ass BLACK dudes. couldnt they mix it up a little😭 the show is fine for me now but i actually dont have a problem with coolio, nate, or tony.

Cillua

7:07 youre absolutely right seb, im sure my fellow american armys all agree american media corporations have consistently let bts down for years, and the grammys situation is massively disappointing. every award and achievement bts earns in america is solely due to their hard work and armys support, the odds are always against them. its devastating to have watched the boys rave over america and their good memories with army over here, and wish so badly to have a grammy, especially yoongi. seeing them give up and move on from this dream makes me so angry and remorseful for them. they deserve better, and their choice to push forward despite the discrimination is inspiring

MicheleKcmo aka Art with Mimi

I have NEVER been comfortable with the “kidnapping”. None of knew about it. I just know if it would’ve been one of my sons I would have come out swinging.! I usually don’t watch this first episode but I wanted to see all of your reactions. There are other parts that are a little hard to watch. I just know Americans get enough crap… For real I’ve been Army since 2016. I would never treat him a visitor who spoke limited English or anyone like that. I lived in Japan for 3 years. If I were in that same situation and somebody pretended they were kidnapping me… I don’t know what I would’ve done. Probably looked more like JK to be honest! Anyway it will be interesting to see what you guys think. 🤷🏼‍♀️💜

MicheleKcmo aka Art with Mimi

I def agree with the points you mentioned. I’m not a black American, but overall we don’t always have the best reputation in the US. 90% or maybe 80% of us are really good people.! there’s always gonna be an outlier or somebody that would do something like this, but it would be the exception and not the rule. I think we are kind and courteous for the most part.

Cillua

fucked up ass situation its a hard watch lmao

CC

Only the first couple eps are hard to get through, it actually gets really sweet and heartwarming later on!

Catric Bere

Jk’s big boba eyes when he’s scared 😭 😭

chanel

just bit disturbing how they make black people look so mean when we aren’t a fun show but a bit weird sometimes

bee

The rest is soooo much better tho, bts learned a lot from their mentors. It’s really just the first ep that’s hard to get through, at least imo.

Sonja

He was so starstruck with Tony lol 😭❤️ especially during the hanbok fitting haha

Butter Cup

You guys did this with one of the documentary series where you skipped the end thinking it was for the next episode, please don't skip the ending. I agree with Charlie, I didn't find the kidnapping funny either. I'm excited for you guys to watch this series. There'll be parts where you will go 🤔😡🤦🏻‍♀️, but I still considered it a good watch. Thanks for finally reacting to it. 💜 Tony is one of my favorite people in this series as well as another, but I don't want to spoil that episode.

Butter Cup

I hope they see your comment. They did this with another documentary series as well, I can't remember which one.

Kira Zagi

I definitely think it's important for all ARMYs to watch this. This whole show completely disproves the "BTS are racist" hate comments because it shows the raw, ignorant views they had of hiphop and the culture it came from during the infancy of their careers and how they broke away from those ideas. As the series progresses, we see the prejudices that this TV network tried very hard to paint become less present because BTS themselves were actually there to learn and have always embraced people from different backgrounds, it wasn't a just a dramatized reality TV show for them. And this is what will always separate BTS from other K-pop groups because they truly made the most of this experience by accepting what they know is wrong and correcting it. And Seb is completely right in saying the Western music industry failed them because the Grammys have notoriously been a racist institution, placing people in genres they THINK they belong. I have never seen another group have to prove how Korean they are but BTS rejecting one of the most prestigious awards an artist can get says everything about how music is not separated by language barrier and they won't compromise their identity as Koreans who have always preached this message by supporting this new Grammy award category. Sorry for the rant, I just truly think there is no comparison when it comes it how authentic and human an artist's music and actions are. Great video guys, I hope you continue this series because it's a good lesson for everyone to learn.

OctolingO

Watching Australians react to this is so funny, the "MURICA!!" made me laugh lmao

Mona

Yeah no I ain’t watching this with you guys loool

TAMA

Cillua, you are right, but sadly in a way South Korea their homeland "safe place" has let them down possibly more to a certain extent.

beckyw

This show is really hard to sit through at certain points. They did gain a lot of experience during it, but the initiation was mean and Coolio treats V like an asshole. I think all Army think the Grammy's did them dirty. American "celebrity" industry thinks they have to categorize everything by race calling it DEI, but it segregates and literally divides people by race. That is not equality or inclusiveness.

OctolingO

Isn't coldplay british?

Trs

Also agree!!

Rae

They changed Yoongi with Jimin because they saw Yoongi looking at the cameras, so they had to remove him from that spot

Rae

“That guy has good energy” Uhhhh…..

Trs

I don’t think the prank was funny - they could have made it a little less scary, 😟 But I missed Jin’s clapping after the intro last time I saw this 😂😂😂

Kira🤪

Yeah, even throughout you could see JK trying to understand what they were demanding from him. I can’t imagine the fear of being kidnapped and not even understanding what is wanted from you to not upset the kidnappers.

Sonja

AHL might be cringe af, but honestly it's worth it to witness teenage Jimin's adorable massive man-crush on Tony lol 😂💜 Just kidding haha, but in all seriousness tho, there are some really great moments in this show that are must-see! ☺️

TAMA

I'm not sure how much of this show was scripted, but I had the pleasure of meeting Coolio and he was nothing but nice to me, not at all full of himself. May he rest in peace.

kookoo

thanks for giving this a shot! it’s a bit hard watching at first but it’s really sweet later on and is important lol

Simona-Elena 🦂

Not that i really wanna contradict you, but you’re telling me that in the middle of a “kidnapping”, they suddenly stopped and were like “hey you, change spots with this guy”? What’s the point of the prank then?Wouldn’t that make everything more obvious?😭

olivia

so glad u guys are finally watching this!! it was such an important step in their career but the first few eps are definitely pretty hard to get through, especially the kidnapping part i cant imagine how scary that must've been for them

TAMA

Disturbing and disrespectful. Sadly some people still view us only this way.

TAMA

What is scary?

Joanne Arnold

I didn’t like this. JK was 16 years old. This was not funny

Cillua

you’re right about that too Tama. The press/corps from both countries have done them wrong on multiple accounts, and I would hope after an unfathomably successful decade+ long career, they are treated better over time.

J-Lee

Many might not like AHL, but I do like watching it once in a while as it's become an important foundation on the boys' career. It's also nice seeing Yoongi being all this energetic before while Jin was the shy and quiet one 😅

Nanu

Ooooohh O can't see this show!!! 😔

J-Lee

Bangtan was really more popular outside of Korea in the earlier days - probably coz they aren't the typical "idols", their music was very different from Kpop, so not a lot of Korean were into them like they were over a usual/normal Kpop group.

J-Lee

Yeah Seb, my heart ached for bby JK and Tae in this episode 🥹💜

Sarah

about what seb said in the beginning as a American army I DEFINITELY think that America let the boys down in terms of the grammies and the hate and racism they received there before (and even sometimes now). But anyway this show was actually a really good experience for them and I'm glad they had it (tho I HATED the kidnapping part) because a lot of kpop artists used and still do use hip hop without truly understanding it and bts was one of the few groups that actually got to go experience hip hop culture and respect it💜

zaphyre

Honestly the show is fine. It has some cringe moments but that’s about it, especially once you get past the first two episodes.

Khaycee Estinopo

yea it’s a fun show but really hard to watch too. some parts are just off 💔

Khaycee Estinopo

someone said it gets better each episode 💜

Khaycee Estinopo

it’s really nice watching the early days especially how they started 💜

Khaycee Estinopo

We’re very excited to dig deeper into thiss

Gatha Naranath

You guys should react to Jhope on ”I live alone” it’s fun

Mani

personally I think a couple of them caught on to the prank and they just played along

Isabel

I just stopped by to read the comments; sorry, but I really can't bring myself to watch this. Still, it’s good for you to know everything the BTS guys have been through and why it hurts ARMY to see this. It’s part of their history, and I know they learned a lot from it (though they were so young to go through such a tough experience)... I don't know, I just can't.

Angie7

The kidnapping was unnecessary. They knew little English at the time. It will never be ok with me and Coolio I cannot stand he is arrogance on steroids.

uncle baby billy

oh god i can already smell the comments.. anyways THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD 🩵 LOVE THIS SHOW

J-Lee

Agree with Rae. The boys wouldn't dare to stand or move on their own at that situation too, so yeah he was told to move.

Saha

never watched this show just cuz I knew it was such a hard time for them but excited to watch it with you guys

MarilynPF

I’ve heard that that’s why JK learned to box, because he never wanted to feel that helpless again.

Butter Cup

I thought he started boxing to stay fit?

MarilynPF

He does lots of things to stay fit. Boxing was at least initially for self-defense.

American hustle life was a hazing ritual bro…

TAMA

Just curious, does anyone know definitively how BTS felt about this experience truly?

Gigi loves Jin

oh yeah...but i'd still say they're part of the american industry with the music and stuff, like no one excludes them cuz they're british

Christina

Love this discussion minimoni had so much! They all know each other so well that when they talk with each other about the songwriting process and their headspace for each song we get such interesting and thoughtful responses. I hope they do more of this in the future too.

Melly_mel

I can’t believe you guys are finally getting to know this lore 😭😭😭

Amanda Michelle

Yeah, I think Coolio was told to give them a hard time. LOL. You're gonna get a little mad a couple of times, especially with Dante (iykyk) but once he's gone, the rest of the show is great! :)

Amanda Michelle

Yeah, a few of them definitely caught on as soon as they saw the apartment and how it was set up. They were just still hella nervous by the big dudes being all tough with them.

Michella Lu

I have mixed feelings about this…

Nash

i cringed so hard but at least im watching for the first time with yall 😭

BT_Beyv

There’s some bad moments I don’t like rewatching but as a whole , I liked it.

ok you guys get the vibe. We have reservations about this show but it is big lore. It's an uncomfortable watch at times and whoever planned and produced this show owes Bangtan 25000 push ups,,, but it was absolutely a learning opportunity and there are a lot of sweet and funny moments too.

I have intentionally avoided this show since becoming ARMY but I feel you guys are like my safe space to be able to watch it in...the clips I've seen make my stomach turn and my blood boil!!

Desiray Marshall

This is so hard for me to watch because Jungkook is literally 15 or 16 years old and he looks absolutely terrified like he’s a kid still😭

Nadilynn

yes Yoongi always says that he knew the kidnap was a prank, but he often claims things like that and we all understand it's a lie.

Ana

They so dramatic in the comments bruh lol. Acting like BTS died or something lol. Anyways I love this show it’s one of my favorites. There was some bad moments and only one bad person other than that the show is amazing. Most of the comments doing too much fr lol

Chanda

It was super fun!! :). Loved this program!

Pari

We love Tony he gave jimin the nickname chimchim which he still uses also when jhope was getting hate for his looks Tony wrote nice things about him and that every member is needed🙏🏽 he was also in the YouTube video of K-pop reactors a few years ago talking about the experience a little

sdcaligirl90

I still get so p*ssed when I see this 1st episode, I cried so hard when they pretended to abduct them. Nothing funny about it. I know they’re all fine but some of what they did in this series p*ssed me off

i dont like it when people look down on this show. yes the prank and some parts with coolio was upsetting and doing too much for the sake of the variety show, but bts still reference american hustle life and this time period in america to this DAY. it taught them so much about hip hop and soul music, and black music genres. their core identity is HIP HOP and this show taught them how to appreciate it. they had a great time on the show, literally got to work with black legends they've looked up to. as korean artists who are constantly paying homage to the pioneers of hip hop, this show was great for them. they literally recorded/worked on their best album to date whilst shooting the show
