Fun fact: Jungkook co-wrote “Your Eyes Tell” and originally planned it for his mixtape! It was later chosen for the Japanese film of the same name, and he helped write the lyrics after reading the script. Some BTS members even said they liked it more than “Stay Gold”! It’s such a beautiful song, and if you watch the movie trailer, you’ll see why it fits so perfectly 💜

We know that The 3 other vocals , jk, jimin and Jin are all tenors and V is the only baritone on the vocal line, but the fact that he can go really high in range baffles me. No wonder music analysts and fans widely regard V as having the widest vocal range in BTS as his “unique vocal anatomy allows him to comfortably hit both the lowest and highest notes across the group's discography”. Vocal analysts says “His total overall range spans from Eb2 to D6 (over 3 octaves and 5 notes). This makes his vocal footprint exceptionally large, allowing him to anchor the deep bass layers in tracks like Singularity while still belting out powerful high falsettos in tracks like Stigma or Dynamite”. Anyway. Overall …. BTS Live is something else .they sound like they ate CDs for breakfast as they sound EXACTLY the same as the cd or even better.

i can definitely understand if songs like your eyes tell or film out are not someone's cup of tea production wise, since it's heavily catered towards the japanese audience and were tailored toward certain movies, but as you guys mentioned the live performances really showcased the vocal line's abilities and just how different each of their voices are from each other (and ofc the rap line did their thing as always).

I swear as an outsider looking in, as someone who has no knowledge of music their Japanese songs always seem like the hardest to sing and they absolutely KILL them and especially live. Some of their Japanese songs are my absolute favs! Crystal Snow and Your Eyes Tell do something to my brain chemistry and send chills down my spine every time I hear them! I’m so glad they showed you this Your Eyes Tell performance because my jaw was on the floor the first time I saw it, they all sound so damn good!

I love this album so thank you for reacting to it. Now that you have watched this Japanese version and watched the other Map Of The Soul albums, PLEASE do react to BTS' Map Of The Soul: ONE concert. This concert was the one that their cancelled world tour was supposed to be based on but due to Covid, they had to cancel and did an online concert instead which for me personally is one of the best concerts I watched simply because I love all the songs from their MOTS Albums.

I loved the reaction!! Just a note! These songs are not necessarily Covid songs. Lights, for example came out in 2019 as a single right after Boy With Luv, but was included in this album. So while you are free to interpret the songs in relation to Covid, its not the actual intention of the song or video. Their Japanese albums tend to include songs from across different albums and years so just something to keep in mind.

Another two things that makes the ur eyes tell performance for V so impressive. 1 V was having severe stomach aches right before this performance feeling very unwell in the bathroom hence why he holds his stomach lots in the video and still managed to deliver such incredible vocals. 2 V is the only baritone in the vocal line compared to the other three tenors so of course their high notes are incredible and in their usual ability the fact that V can hit them is honestly mind blowing as high notes are not usually notes baritones make.

Honestly, the over the top reaction to Your Eyes Tell made me wonder if you guys even heard the vocals over your own yelling, lol.

Aww, I actually like the blue version of the Film out performance better. One of my favorite parts of the song is at the end when V and Jimin harmonize with such contrasting voices that blend so beautifully it feels cathartic. I stand by what I've said before, I'm waiting for a Jin and Jimin sub-unit song because I really think their voices together would bring a euphoric experience. I actually really love the way Suga sounds in his verse for film out. It tickles my brain. Just lots of love for this album and the live performances that came with it!

So true! It honestly doesn’t surprise me anymore when I hear Jin, Jimin or Jungkook hit a high note cause they have a high register and are known to sing the high notes and they kill it every time. But it shocks me every time I hear V wayy up there in his range, it’s so easy to forget he’s a baritone cause you hear him effortlessly singing those high notes matching the other vocalists who naturally have higher voices. He’s truly exceptional, especially in these live performances! 💜

The vocal line always shines in these Japanese songs but one thing that stood out to me throughout all of these tracks is Jungkooks ad-libs and harmonies in the background. The way he harmonizes with the rap line and sprinkles a few tasteful runs throughout the songs is just chefs kiss! 🤌✨
