Tutorial Video : https://youtu.be/S3PKN2xW0YA

In this video, we dive deep into the newly updated Fun ControlNet node in ComfyUI—now supporting inpainting with versions 2.0 and 2.1 from Alibaba’s PAL Z-Image Turbo FunCtl Union. You’ll see how to set up the workflow, integrate mask editing for precise inpainting, and enhance results using multiple sampling passes and advanced upscaling techniques like Ultimate SD Upscale and Seed VR2. Whether you're restoring faces, modifying outfits, or refining backgrounds, this tutorial walks you through every step with real-time examples and performance tips.

This content is perfect for AI artists, ComfyUI users, and creators working with fashion, virtual try-ons, or character-focused generative media. If you’ve experimented with ControlNet, inpainting, or Stable Diffusion-based image refinement—and you’re looking to push realism, texture quality, and resolution without losing coherence—this workflow breakdown is designed for you. It’s especially valuable for those seeking structured, reproducible methods rather than one-off tricks.

Why does this matter? As AI image models evolve, so do the expectations for detail, skin realism, and resolution—especially in commercial or portfolio-level content. Understanding how to combine inpainting with strategic upscaling (instead of relying on a single “magic” model) gives you creative control and consistent quality. This video not only demonstrates what’s possible with the latest Fun ControlNet updates but also compares real-world results across upscaling methods, helping you choose the right approach for your style and goals.

hi are you able to provide a sample LORA character file just so we can test the workflow? it will take a long time for us to learn and train a lora charater for the first time

Thank you for all the work you have done compiling and sharing these workflows. I am trying to inpaint a masked area of a JPEG that is about 3000 pixels on the long edge at 300 DPI. Ideally I would like the masked region to be cropped to a 1024 by 1024 square for inpainting and then stitched back into the original image. Is this possible? I have 24 GB of VRAM and am looking for a more efficient way to edit JPEGs without processing the entire image.
