Status update (Patreon)

Hey folks. I’ve postponed writing an update for a while now, because…well, I didn’t want it to be all negativity. This has meant no news at all for a long while – I’m truly sorry about that. :-(

I’ll still have to be vague on the details for now, but I can at least temper the bad news with some good news now – might as well launch into it.

As for the bad: Well, the past 4 months or so haven’t been wonderful. My fulltime job was amping up on overtime and stress – so I decided to take the leap and find another job. I did manage that, and the new job is less stressful and the coworkers and new boss are great. Even so, learning a new job from scratch has been damn time-consuming and killed basically all productivity.

At long last, however, I’m getting past the mind-numbing beginner state and starting to get back into writing in the evening again. Expect chapters for book 3 to start dropping soon. :-)

As for the vague part: Well, nothing’s set in stone yet, but I’m expecting to be able to write a LOT more within a handful of months. Cannot give any fixed details for now, but if all goes well, I should be able to come with an official announcement within a month or two. :-) This would also mean fixed updates and not "Whenever I finally have something new and/or energy for it." Fingers crossed!

“But dude – haven’t you been been writing at all for 5 months?” Yes. Yes, I have. I’ve written 30.000 words on a new story – something completely new (that my brain just wouldn’t shut up about). However, I’d rather get back into bard territory and work exclusively on that for now. Hopefully, I can present something worthwhile to you on the other story around spring. Expect dragons. :-)
