I was thinking bland list until the end, now it's a prime bottom 5 candidate.

Well all that hype only to trip over their own feet the entire time... Guess im not giving it a whirl. Love your content. I have a question speaking of the Callisto protocol, do you think a melee focused horror action Survival game could work out? Callisto did it poorly but id like to see a better attempt and make something fun.

Shawn

In melee-focused survival horror, you lose access to one of the main tension-building tools - the requirement to not let the monsters get close.

Jackson

So its very difficult to execute the horror part😕, ok that's fair. Still, would like to see someone give it a better shot. Like condemned, *that* game freaked me out. Though its been a while since ive touched that franchise, i think that maybe there can be horror in not knowing where the monster is. Obviously when you can bash its skull in charging headlong into would be foolish on the monster's part. Such as attacking in groups of two or three and flanking you, ambushing you or stalking you in a tight corridor and you're filled with tension when you cant see behind you as you keep your head on a swivel... Only to fail to look up and not see the drool from its face dripping and then you're struggling to not get eaten.

For a different opinion, as I also played and beat Cronos... I enjoyed it more than Yahtzee did. Fully agree the story is the weakest part, but I enjoyed my time with it as a survival horror adventure. I also didn't find the combat as difficult... I probably spent more time exploring and going off the beaten path than Yahtzee did to find materials to keep ammo replenished. If The Calisto Protocol was C-Tier Dead Space, I'd put this more at B-Tier Dead Space. - Nick

So... You take your time to enjoy it, look around and its about the destination not the journey?

Fully Ramblomatic prog metal album of the week: Recontextualizing Inscrutable Situations by Optional Gravitation (tracks include Six Intriguing Words)

There's a famous New Zealand anti-drink-driving ad with the line 'I'm internalising a complicated situation in my head' which sounds like a good name for their next album. It's also a brilliant ad, and you should go watch it or else Monique will say you're dumb.
