I've had this thought for a while and wanted your take on it. What do you think the chances are that Xbox stops making a console and instead makes a customizable pc? Essentially bowing out of the console market and competing against the recently announced Steam Machine.

New game announcements from Xbox? Are they actually going to come out, or will they be canceled in 3 years and the teams laid off?

They took their first step with the ROG Alley X. When the console is a loss leader it does allow an entry point for lower income individuals. A nice middle ground would be for them to focus maybe one and let partners make the more powerful ones.

I don't have much to add to the main topic, but I have compliments to give. Marty, I have listened to you for over a decade and have followed you to wherever you go so you can still put words in my ears. Your sense of humor is top tier. Kc and Nick, you guys are ok too.

Does the announcement of the new Steam Machine make Valve closer to a console company? Instead of the big three will we now have a big four?

I agree. Seeing them putting games on anything and everything, the lack of interest they have in their own system, and game pass being available on pc, makes me think a switch to a low cost/low price PC with an Xbox logo slapped on it might be a realistic option for them.

Maybe a topic for a Backdrop or even a 1 off special video, but I'd love a deep dive esk opinion piece on how you guys collectively as a games channel that does have influence, balance stuff like having to talk about the newest games and industry stuff when sometime covering 1 topic can make you a hypocrite when you have to cover another. Not saying anything is wrong with that necessarily, but I feel like not enough people real make clear what lines there are and where the different lines are drawn.

On the subject of Second Wind's recently announced indie showcase, can y'all share anything about how you plan to make it unique? Other showcases that you're looking at for inspiration, how you're going to curate games, etc? Looking forward to it!

I use the holidays to tackle my backlog. Do you do this too, and, if so, what games are you looking forward to finally getting to or finishing this holiday season?

I'm curious about this too. Beyond the console, it seems like Valve suddenly has a more cohesive ecosystem than Microsoft or Sony, with their own handheld, console, and VR set.
