Unrelated, but I do request a Marty One Piece update. I need to know how close we are to a Pirate Warriors 3 video essay

As an enjoyer of sicko RPG's, I have little faith that today's Bethesda can make another compelling Elder Scrolls game. Oblivion removed many mechanisms from Morrowind instead of iterating on them, and Skyrim continued that trend even more. Is it too much to ask for a combat system that doesn't just boil down to stealth archery? The magic systems in each game got dumbed down each time as well I almost wish they would license Tamriel to different studios so we can see different genres of games in that world

Personally, I couldn't give a flying flip about Eldar Scrolls, I have yet to play a Bethesda developed game and carry on past a few hours. I didn't really care for GOW:R either - I did finish it but I think it was only because of the greater Norse mythology around it (the gameplay and most of the dialogue annoyed me). I hope those who are excited by them are not dissapointed on their release and enjoy them though.

I've been rounding out the year with my first time playing God of War and Ragnarok next because they feel right for the end of the year. I'm having a better time with GoW 2018 so far than I was expecting! The combat is tougher, more deliberate and much better than the button mashing of Control Resonant and I'm interested in the story, though admittedly I'm only a few hours in. Also, it looks like Canada might be able to save Mass Effect?

Nick have you seen BallxPit has confirmed the big DLC comes with more cheevos! Rejoice!

Bethesda are kind of bad at writing compelling characters and dialogue as they are all pretty one note, it might have been okay for 2011 but not anymore. I'll withhold judgement until i play it but my hope is in decline

Related to the Hellraiser: Revival fully and post ramblomatics, I'm noticed a number of games coming out of AA and AAA in the last few years that really put in the legwork to emulate the vibes of legacy franchises. These are usually framed as another adventure for those characters and in those narratives, I'd point to Robocop: Rogue City, Indiana Jones and the great circle, and maybe 007 first light as previous examples. With AAA flailing for something sustainable to latch onto, do you think we'll see more games with this framework or is this just a coincidence/blip?

It's been 8 years since ES6 was announced, and in that time the only new information we have is the word "SENTINEL." I sure hope future information about the game comes at a faster pace than "one letter per year."

I feel like I'm the only one still excited for more Elder Scrolls, I understand that other longtime fans have been getting tired of Bethesda's MO but they're the only one that gives the vibe that they do, and I love that. Maybe it'll end up hitting the critical point of too simplified and bad, but it costs nothing to be cautiously optimistic, if it's a disappointment we can just move on, there's always more games. I'm disappointed that Schreier reported that it's still years off, but like I said, there's plenty of other games to play in the mean time.

Have y’all been playing Valve’s Deadlock? The recent update saw a complete map overhaul and six new heroes, and reached nearly three hundred thousand concurrent players while still being an invite-only early access game.

First off Sentinal is a terrible name for an Elder Scrolls game. Second, I need help from the community. Where can I pick up a physical copy of Ocarina of Time? I couldn't order it through Nintendo and Amazon is showing digital only? Please help! Maybe I missed something.

Assuming elder scrolls comes out next year it will have been 16 years since Skyrim. Similar to your gears / halo discussion last week, are we even confident this game will still appeal to today’s gaming audience or just blokes in their 30/40s like we are?

George Loftus

It recently dawned on me that I’m not an elder scrolls fan, I’m a Skyrim fan. Are there any other series you can think of one where one entry popped off and the others just don’t hold a candle to it? Where the aberration is the peak?

Since Skyrim, Elder Scrolls was surplanted by Witcher as the biggest mainstream fantasy RPG and since then the landscape itself has split between the challenge sickos of a post Souls world, the reality freaks of Kingdom Come, and the inpenetreble size of Crimson Desert. How would you like them to approach Elder Scrolls in a way that can feel fresh and not like it's going "hello fellow RPGs, how do you do?"

Mrticketron

Hey boys you'll probably be seeing this when its already past 1am here in Germany and I'll probably still be running around WoW forever man we are so back and it is a problemmm

Oliver Seemann

If nothing else, I don't think we'll see another Starfield level of tedium from Sentinel. As others have pointed out however, comparison is what I think ended taking the wind out of Starfield's sails. Sentinel will have to compete with the features and writing present in Witcher 3, Kingdom Come Deliverance and Crimson Desert in addition to Genshin Impact for "games that are your job" demographic, whatever that one Elden Ring look-a-like game that Mihoyo also showcased and also Light No Fire (also Hello Games) if that comes out in the same year. At least I'll get to play as my Argonians again. All bets on the player character being a prisoner again, only this time, it'll be as debt laborer. Similar to Starfield.
