Video: How to Paint UM armour (Patreon)

🇬🇧 Finally the first video of the Jump pack Intercessor series is here. In this first video we go over how to paint the blue amour with the airbrush. Starting with Blue Macragge over a black primer, we move to the shades and then to the highlights. Pay attention to the direction from where I apply the airbrush for both shades and highlights.

Once this is done, we work with black oil paint and spirit on the recesses of the armour panels. It’s faster and I like the final result. After applying the oil paint, I like to wait around 20min before cleaning it with an earstick wet with spirit. Once all is clean and dry I apply a gloss varnish thin layer with the airbrush to protect the work done and fix the oil paints and to get the model ready for the decals as we will see in the next video.

Finally, I paint all the details in black, helps me separating them from the armour and looks nicer too 😅

🇪🇸 Finalmente el primer video de la serie de los intercesores con jump pack esta aqui.

En este primer video repasaremos como pintar la armadura azul. Empezamos con blue macragge sobre la imprimacion negra y despues trabajamos las sombras y luces. Prestad especial atencion a la direccion con la que trabajo con el aerografo para sombras y luces, es importante.

Una vez terminado el trabajo con aerografo voy a usar pintura negra al aceite mezcalada con aguarras para aplicarla en los recesos de los paneles de la armadura, nos ayudara a separarlos y definirlos. Con la pintura al aceite podemos trabajar mas rapido y el resultado queda muy guapo.

Una vez aplicada la pintura al aceite, suelo esperar unos 20 min antes de limpiar los excesos en la armadura con un palito de las orejas mojado con aguarras.

Una vez limpio y seco, aplico una capa fina de varniz brillante con el aerografo. Esta me ayudara a fijar la pintura al aceite y al ser brillante me ayudara con las calcomanias como veremos en el siguiente video.

Por ultimo pinto todos los detalles en negro, me ayuda a separar los detalles que pintaremos despues.
