How to paint a red bolter gun (Patreon)

🇬🇧 In this video will go step by step on how to paint the bolter gun of the new Jump Pack intercessors in red.

Once the base color is locked in (Word Bearer Red+ black, 1:1) we are going to start glazing with Word Bearer Red lesving some of the base color underneath in the deepest area. We will need at least 3-4 thin layers. In esch layer I try to cover a little bit less to create a transition between colors.

I will repeat the same process now with Mephiston Red, covering a little bit less area, lesving some of the previous glaze underneath.

Last glaze will be with Evil Sunz Red.

Once the glazing is done, will start with edge highlighting all the edges of the red part of the gun. Start with Evil Sunz Red, then with Wild Rider Red and last with Fire Dragon Bright. Each step thinner than the one before and covering a little bit less of the edge, so the brighter edge highlight is closer to the brighter part of the gun.

Finally, will thin Blood Angels Red contrast with water and we will apply it over the red to smooth all the transitions.

🇪🇸 En este vídeo revisaremos paso a paso cómo pintar de rojo la pistola bólter de los nuevos intercesores con Jump Pack.

Una vez que el color base esté aplicado (Word Bearer Red + negro, 1:1), comenzaremos a aplicar una veladura con Word Bearer Red dejando parte del color base debajo en el área más profunda. Necesitaremos al menos 3-4 capas finas. En cada capa trato de cubrir un poco menos para crear una transición entre colores.

Repetiré el mismo proceso ahora con Mephiston Red, cubriendo un poco menos de área, dejando algo de la veladura anterior debajo.

La última veladura será con Evil Sunz Red.

Ahora empezaremos con el perfilado de los bordes de la parte roja de la pistola. Comenzamos con Evil Sunz Red, luego con Wild Rider Red y por último con Fire Dragon Bright. Cada paso elmperfilado es más delgado que el anterior y cubre un poco menos, por lo que el resaltado del borde más brillante está más cerca de la parte más brillante de la pistola.

Finalmente, una fina capa de Blood Angels Red (contrast) mezclada con agua y la aplicaremos sobre el rojo para suavizar todas las transiciones.
