This patch is for macOS only. The patch only includes episode 12 content.

Only patch your game if you know what you're doing. Download the full game instead if you are unsure.

Make a backup copy of your game before you patch.

The patch only works with the Season 3 base game Being A DIK - v0.11.0/v0.11.1/v0.12.0

macOS (7.07 GB)

Download the files named "BeingADIK-v0.12.1-macOS-patch.z01" and "BeingADIK-v0.12.1-macOS-patch.zip", attached to this post.

Do not use any AI file manager to rename the downloaded files. This will cause extraction to fail.

Instructions for macOS users: Download the files. Unzip the patch. Put the .rpa files, Discord, and cache folder in the "game" folder of Being A DIK—v0.11.0/v0.11.1/v0.12.0. Make sure that the patch files end up in the "game" folder in the BeingADIK app with the same folder structure.

Overwrite files when prompted. Change permissions if needed. Play.

How to unzip

To unzip the files, I recommend that you either use "The Unarchiver", "Winrar" or "Keka".

Here is a YouTube video showing how you unzip a multiple-part zip file using The Unarchiver.

The how_to_unzip_being_a_dik.jpg file in the attachments below shows you how to unzip with Winrar.

macOS (5.10 GB)

If you want updated movie files for Episode Interlude and Episodes 9-11, which now include sex sounds, you must also download additional files according to these instructions.

Download "BeingADIK-0.12.1-sex-sounds-patch.zip" and "BeingADIK-0.12.1-sex-sounds-patch.z01".

Extract the contents of "BeingADIK-0.12.1-sex-sounds-patch.zip" using "The Unarchiver", "WinRar", or "Keka".

Put the .rpa files in the "game" folder of Being A DIK v0.11.0/v0.11.1/v0.12.0. or your already patched Being A DIK v0.12.1. The order you patch your old game doesn't matter because none of the new patch files conflict. Make sure that the patch files end up in the "game" folder in the BeingADIK app with the same folder structure. Overwrite files when prompted.

Note that the sex sound patch alone won't update your game to v0.12.1. If you want the sex sounds, you can download all four files from below.

anyone else having issues with movement playback?

I had issues with the game switching to brawler, the game would show the direction arrows to direct the attacks, but the screen was black. I restarted and re-copied the patch files to the game, so far the playback has been corrected.

Ok. It could be that you didn't have a sound device enabled for the animations. The game needs an output for animations.

What if i deleted the other "game" folders for szn 11 and 12, can i not use the patch one? would i have to download the whole Season 12 then? and would i still be able to load my games into that?

DrPinkCake

Then you need to download the full game. You need a version 0.11.0/0.11.1/0.12.0 to patch. Your saves should still show if you're playing on the same PC.
