SURPRIISEEE!!!!

I'm a genius cos skipping ep 1 was necessary cos I remembered watching it somehow and I wanted to get into the challenges and dynamics straight away and boy DID I LOVE IT.

Funny enough, the girls are soo IMMEDIATELY memorable it's crazy. My heart sings at the final line up girlies have such great relationships and also personalities from the JUMP. Mai and Sarang especially really stood out here just when I didn't think I could love them even more.

Jungeun has strong Jungwon energy. Young but with such a good head on her shoulders AND being supremely talented also.

I'm HOOKED! You lot were not kidding about Jiyoon LOOL, she brings soo much sass it's insanely refreshing to see a girl be this way and be comfortable within herself. Some really good singers here even in the ground team!

Although I know the final line up please be mindful of group dynamic spoilers! As usual, first and last episode will be on Titan and Mt Olympus tiers! The inbetween episodes will only be on mt olympus.

ENJOY COS I FUCKING DID!

So glad you're doing this eeeek

camelag

yesssss, so happy you're giving this season a chance again

Neeko

Wait I totally forgot Lingling was on here! She debuted with Kiiras recently with the country K-pop song.

Abi

YHE WAY I DIDN’T THINK YOUD ACTUALLY TRY IT AGAIN AHHHHHHHHHHH

Dj

Yesss I live for a I land 2 era

Neeko

And I agree, this made me fall in love with IZNA so much. Their personalities are so fun. That shot where they're in the egg is golden: Fuko's sobbing, Gyuri's still so bubbly and Jiyoon's so over it. It's so gooood.

Among girl group survival show, I Land 2 was definitely one of the best in terms of overall production. It was able to portray every single contestant and make them uniquely memorable, so even when they were eliminated, people would still have an impression and recognize them more easily when they debut later. To me this format is much better than Produce or Planet series, coz I can connect with each individual. One downside of this show is that the skill gap between the higher tier group and lower tier group of the trainees is quite obvious. I believe there was some intention behind it, at least the companies and the production team had an easier time building the final lineup which they might have pictured from the get-go.

Koko3op

This name doesn't ring a bell yet!

Koko3op

Yeahh i'm starting to realise i'm a fan of Iland as a format!

Abi

FINALLY CAN WATCH!!! Fuko is the oldest on the show cause she’s older than mai by a few months. The way you don’t remember watching the 1st ep at all is so funny cause I only ever went up a tier just to watch it🤭 JUWON MY DIVA DAUGHTER🥹🥹🥹 I miss her so bad thank you for giving me a reason to watch this show for the 5th time😁

jenn

YESSSS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS THANK YOUUUUU

Dom

she’s part of ground, the one who sang at 12:30 and did the high note at 1:21:28 !

Yaaaay ! So happy that you're watching it ! It's going to be so fun to watch it again with you. Especially as you're just watching Iland season 1 too x) Like with their scores, and how high it was. It's pretty funny to me, because it feels like the feedback is harsher on season 2 but the grades are so high in comparison of season 1. Also love that they didn't do that weird audio process on the performances like season 1, that was awful. At least here we can clearly hear the girls ! Can't wait to watch the rest of the episodes with you again ! :D

Koko3op

I'm so excited it's SOO GOOD already!

Han kay

woww did not expect thisss i cant wait for the other episodessss

Ji-yoon's mental journey throughout this show is very interesting and meaningful to learn from. At this very early stage, her self-esteem was still very big, she thought very highly of her voice and singing, almost like no one else is comparable to her. So when her singing was questioned by the producers, then her desired part kept being pushed away from her, she got hurt, frustrated and demotivated. She obviously expressed her dissatisfaction and brought out this IDGAF vibe to the other contestants and that can also be felt by viewers. But if you give it another look, she also took a step back when Mai said she was more confident in Part 11. Ji-yoon actually cares a lot for others' feelings, which would be shown more later in the show. It's just that this girl always tends to cover herself and not express her feeling, so people misunderstand her easily.

MITNITE98

When someone like Taeyang complimented Mai's personality and mindset as "unreal", you know how virtuous she is as a person.

Daley Grace Sweeting

Yay! I just watched your episode 1 reaction and wondered if you gave up on it haha

Koko3op

LOOOOL WHY can everyone else find the episode 1 reaction but me? :'( can you comment on it so i can find it please LOL

Ashley

I was a Jiyoon defender; everybody hated my girl.

AlliePandaa

HAHAHAHA! Yeesssss. I was that one bitch that kept screaming for you to watch this. I am soooo back to continue watching this with you. You mentioned how you were surprised Koko hasn’t really been shown. Koko spoke like zero Korean and got no screen time but that girl went from not even in my top 12 to being in my top 3 by the middle of the show. No language barrier can stop a girl with that much talent and personality. Yoon JiYoon: as bad as she came off during the early episodes, evil editing or not, I appreciated it cus in the real world, teenage girls have more than one emotion, happy. I know you gotta fake it until you make it, but jiyoons letting her real emotions just vomit out and not care about being 100% filmed is pretty iconic. Her vulnerability and not being scared she’ll get hate for it made me root for her so hard. I don’t care who you are, kpop idol or not, Not everyone is out here being all bubblegum happy girls all day 24/7. I would rather root for someone that feels genuinely real and flawed instead of an idol who never takes off their perfectly company manufactured fake mask. Jungeun: it still surprises me that this girl is 15 years old in the show. So mature with all that leadership. She was a shoo in for me from ep 1. Jeemin: I only watched I-land 2 for Jeemin because I was rooting for her so hard in runext. All I can say is THANK THE LORD JEEMIN FAILED IN RUNEXT or else I wouldn’t have gotten to know these girls in I-land 2 who have become my ult girl group. Thx Jeemin! Sarang: she was not in my top 12. I didn’t vote for Sarang at all while watching the show air and was feeling eh about her debuting..but wow. The improvement I see this girl go through in IZNA has shocked me time after time and I honestly can’t picture IZNA without her now. I love when trainees prove me wrong after their debut. Mai: her mind and mentality solidified her spot in my top 12. Mai was actually the first trainee I’ve ever supported where I didn’t judge skills before personality. I saw how important any group would need a mai who can keep everyone grounded and positive. She has the winners mentality and that’s something you cannot teach. With her strong ambition, there’s really nothing that can stop her from being great. Saebi: saebi is saebi lol. There wasn’t much to say about saebi this episode except that she’s adorable and likable * 01:11:10 : they did change the voting process. For the I-land boys, they voted for who they wanted OUT. For I-land 2 girls, they voted for who they wanted to STAY.

Koko3op

haughsfuidhs THAT'S like splitting hairs fr, it's still similar but i guess it's a better way to phrase it but yes thank GOD Jeemin failed in RUNEXT! This is WAY better for her! And yes to everything else you said
