First episode KISS OF LIFE.

I say everything I need to say about the klandettes and I won't speak of them no more unless something significant shifts cos I've been seeing some annoying false equivalences in my comment sections so maybe this episode will serve as a PSA as to why you should leave people alone, me first.

Second Episode GIRLS GENERATION and the Jessica Jung story.

As we talk about their journey briefly into becoming ICONS and celebrating their 18th anniversary (i actually recorded this way before their anniversary but timing worked to save it until now) as well as thoughts and conspiracies about why things went down the way they did with Jessica!

Enjoy - remember to RATE and comment if you haven't already <3

I think if there is anyone whose opinion can change the way Tarzzan acts, it's gotta be his black friend who is also dancing with him right now (I forgot his name). However, it seems like they still hang out joyfully with each other, so I guess that friend is not bothered by what he did.

Koko3op

Ahhh lol yeah I don't think anyone cares fr.

This is quite unrelated to your first topic, but I feel like in idol's live in general, idols mostly do variety stuff and for fun, they rarely talk about music or dancing, etc., things that are related to their career. I have actually never participated in any live, but the hot topics regarding someone's live are almost never about those latter aspects. Fans also don't seem to like talking about those topics. What do you think about it?

Koko3op

I don't think I fully understand your question, but yeah I do wish they spoke more about their career cos fans usually respond well as opposed to boring tmi.

I don’t think I’ll ever take people throwing in other idols and the problematic things they’ve done to lighten what KIOF did seriously. That being said, I have an unpopular opinion friend…. Lol

kiof fans dont understand that julie already got defended for saying the nword. this was her second chance and she fucked it up, thats on her 😅

Interesting theory regarding SNSD and Jessica. I was nodding my head while listening. I can see this as a very plausible take. Even though other musical groups/bands over the years have reconciled I don't know why but I just have a feeling this one will remain a bittersweet mark on the group. The two books although fictional probably burnt that bridge if there ever was one. I know they aren't perfect. They are human - resentment, jealousy, anger, pettiness probably made appearances behind the scenes but I also saw genuine friendship, protection, support and love. It wasn’t all fake. Truth is at some point Girls' Generation became bigger than the girls themselves. Just seems like some members recognized the importance of the "brand" earlier than others.

I forgot the n word thing!

Sorry i didn't feel comfortable leaving a public comment on spotify so i'll post here. I enjoyed your take on SNSD and Jessica. I can see the thought process on Sooyoung since she's got a really bold personality. From what i see on their variety shows, if i knew someone like her in real life, i would probably avoid her since I'm quite mellow LOL. Starting at 32 minutes until the end of the podcast, I also had a similar thought process, that Jessica most likely wanted more freedoms at her point in her idol career since she started training quite earlier than the rest, those thoughts on "what's next" came earlier than the other girls but the other girls sort of villain-ified (is that a word?) her desire for solo endeavors since she was the first but they all ended up focusing on solo projects soon after. I also wonder how they look back on it now after they all ended up branching out and are older with a different perspective

Koko3op

Ahh thanks for commenting here!! But yes I agree!!

Can you tell me which performance it was when Sooyoung gave a look to Jessica? i don't think i've ever seen that!

I think Jessica perhaps more actively advocated for herself for the "freedom". While the others held their desires in for the "group" and there may have been a collective understanding/discussion between the girls that within a certain time frame all members would eventually start focusing on solo projects and go their separate ways. Could have been a bit of a timing issue and how things were being done faster than expected that threw some of the memebers off and started irking them. They could see the priorities shifting while the rest of the group was still focusing on "the brand" Girls' Generation. And we all know how SM management isn't the best. Communication between 3 parties (Jessica and the Girls and SM) could have gone side ways real fast. Even though there were members who held desires for acting all of that was still handled under SM but Jessica's endeavors were outside of SM. Scheduling conflicts and or short abrupt last mintue changes could have made things a bit more difficult and left people in limbo and made them feel anxious which unfortunately resulted in the way things eventually ended. It was probably easier to put blame on Jessica then internal SM staff mismanagement/communication.

Honestly have so much to say about the kiof situation. It is crazy how their apology is NEVER as loud as the disrespect. They love to reap the benefits of our community yet we still happen to be the subject/butt of their jokes. It’s honestly always been this way in history, so not at all surprised. The wasted potential is upsetting because I genuinely liked the group, but I REFUSE to support them. I keep these standards with Chris Brown, R. Kelly, Drake, etc. But I definitely don’t get on my keyboard feeling comfortable enough to try to convince people on the internet to care. If they wanted to they would. TRUST.
