their performances look straight off a survival show and i dig it. i guess the fan voting concept might play a part in that or even just knowing there’s another 16 guys on the way might increase that competitive edge. keeps it interesting im intrigued!

Can always trust you to check out what's new in 5th gen! Really like the idea of large groups with rotating units. Something like this might allows their artists to have actual scheduled breaks, while keeping up with fan and industry demand. I feel like this concept was something like the original intention of NCT and then SM just kinda, gave up lol. i absolutely will not be learning all 24 names lol, but I am really happy with the musical direction so far and will be tuning in for what's to come. I did also notice the dancing was not very in sync which does not really bother me, but it does make me wonder how many of these guys, and those to come, actually trained together and how many were just basically plucked off the streets or other company rejects. Like that Dohun kid allegedly trained for 7 years 😩. I also just read the reason some of these vids have 8 members and some have 7 is because they already got a member on hiatus because of allegations so...🙃

rewatching this to check your initial thoughts and who you pointed out, and i just remembered that they recently dropped a choreography video for adolescence that dohun and juho did the choreo for! thought you might be interested if you havent already seen it :)
