In this episode of Anatomy of a Song, we strip both tracks right back and listen to what’s really going on underneath. By isolating elements and hearing parts exposed, I react in real time to ALPHADRIVEONE’s “Freak Alarm” and ZEROBASEONE’s “In Bloom” what holds up, what surprises me, and what changes once the production layers are peeled away.

This isn’t about heavy theory or rankings; it’s about how these songs feel when you hear their bones, how vocals and melodies carry emotion without the polish, and what that reveals about each group’s sound and direction. A more intuitive, listening-led look at two very different 5th-gen boy group tracks.

Idk about that other song…but ZB1 wow this made me appreciate In Bloom even more. Loooove the vocals! Definitely picked up on things I’d never noticed before.

VOCALBASEONE INDEED Ricky’s and Hanbin’s voices on the bridge man, I’ll never get tired of this song. The vocals and harmonies are actually insane. It took me a while to even catch that they’re singing the same melody from the sample too LMAO. Like in my head i was just thinking “ahhh this is the take on me sample ppl were talking abt” WHEWW you were cooking at the end for that last chorus omg. I love the way your mind works. You’re so right, every single layer feels perfectly intentional. That piano is doing so much. It gives almost that nostalgic and summer feeling. Such a necessary component. In Bloom specifically just hits different. In Bloom takes it for mefkajdfj THANK YOU SMM
