In this episode of Anatomy of a Song, we’re diving into ZEROBASEONE’s newest era as five members — and whether you can actually hear the difference in the group’s vocal identity.

With fewer voices filling the arrangement, certain things suddenly become much more noticeable: tone, vocal maturity, emotional delivery, harmonies, and even the way individual members carry songs differently than before.

Has the group’s sound evolved?

wow! 😯 considering that exotic and changes were my least favorites on the album due to the beats it's surprising how they became some of my favorites here once they were acapella. even that damn chanting didn't bother me as much as it usually does. another excellent episode micah!! loved watching this and looking forward to what more zb1 has in store.

this whole album did truly feel like a new beginning for them, I hope all this positive feedback will encourage them to lean more into this style! I do agree that they really need to start hooting and hollering on these tracks tho if there was a 5th gen group that could bring that back it’s definitely zb1. personally I feel like all the songs on the album, even the way they were arranged on the track list, feel so cohesive and matched what they were trying to deliver this era! Also just wanted to let u know that: 4:28 was jiwoong! 5:08 was hanbin!
