I'm a lil lost why so many people said this is their favourite produce cos the girls are a lil boring no shade oiihdviosh. Maybe it gets better but somethings missing.

Anyway, it was good hearing more vocalists that were hiding in previous episodes. Some of the edits are soooo boring omg and maybe the songs just weren't super fun.

I'm looking forward to the more vocal episodes cos I know Yunjin sings Into the new world which i'm excited about so maybe it'll be more fun to see how they allocate roles then.

Yujin was made for this though, so charming. I'm looking forward to seeing more from her and Wonyoung.

Enjoy!

Also, this season the Japanese members were getting noticed and becoming more popular in Korea. But as you know, Mnet rigged the votes and probably changed the rules to favor other members, lol. So average score could be apart of it lol my theory. This is the episode where I learned about KARA. My favorite song was Mama mia. KARA was, and still is, big in Japan, from what I have heard.

I also gave it some thought over why this season feels, up till now, a lot more boring than the other two. I think the girls are very aware of how they come across on camera. I had the feeling that in Produce 101 the girls were more themselves and more outspoken. Also the editing feels very repetitive. It is almost always in training "You need to work harder, it's not good right now" and then the constant wait for a high note is also a bit annoying. Still like this show a lot though but I get what you mean that it feels diffrent from the first two seasons.

Soyou is realy harsh on this show. Maybe it's the editing but I don't really like how hard she is on the trainees. I think you can still teach them alot. If she would have said "I don't think Sakura should be the centre cause she makes too many mistakes" I think the message would come across too.

i think the song you're thinking of @ 1:47:30 is time capsule by davichi maybe!

Brave Brothers produced a lot of AOA's songs. They have such an underrated discography!

I was gonna say this!!! This is the point where trainees are now hyper aware of what the show does!

Yess KARA gave SNSD a run for their money in Japan!

Maybe the love people have for i*zone gave many a false memory of this season, myself included. There are a lot of things I loved about this season, but rewatching it highlighted how meh the lead up was to every challenge. The episodes go up from here, I think .... There were two types of Japanese trainees, the ones who had no confidence nor drive for a survival competition and the ones who craved improvement of their skills. I was frustrated watching it all over again. I still find it hard to believe how understated Chaewon's presence is so far these past episodes. I forgot AleXa was even in this season, when I saw here face in the Peekaboo performance, my brain glitched lol.

Glad it's not just me. Oo the infamous AleXa i always hear about

I'm not sure I can agree to this. I was hooked on this show because I wasn't a K-pop fan at the time. I only knew the AKB48 groups then. And I think this show was more popular than the first season. I think the show led with the underdog story of how the Japanese trainees had no skills but built them over time, and people were rooting for them, including Koreans. And that was the fun part of watching the show, and it led me to K-pop more. Now... I do agree Chaewon's presence hasn't stood out so far. She came out of nowhere, but the upcoming challenges with the position battles had blown people away. I think that is when she shone. I think the boring part of the show is the finale songs, but that is just me.

I wrote a lot as a detailed response to the caption to provide context since I ulted the group from this show, so I'm just gonna include a TLDR to summarize my thoughts and you can read more if you want more details lol. TLDR: The lows of the show are very low because lack of skill/personality which is why it's boring, but in turn it make the highs shine, adding to the favoritism of this season. This is also people's favorite season because of nostalgia for the group's success/overcoming of certain events when they were active and seeing how each ex-member maintained success. About the caption, I can say for myself with a bit of self-reflection as this is my favorite season of produce that it's because of nostalgia and how there were a lot more groups with trainees that had decent success after the show as opposed to the groups of the previous seasons (Fromis, Everglow, Cherry Bullet, Rocket Punch, PurpleKiss, The AKB48 girls having their groups they went back to). Not only that, you also have Iz*One (This Show's Group) who were early 4th gen leaders with Itzy and I-DLE from 2018-2021, so when they disbanded, everyone was curious to see where each member went to. Contrary to I.O.I which their members had either been instant hits or flops, all of the girls in Iz*One managed to beat those expectations and all surprisingly came out successful with their initial endeavors. Therefore, I can infer that most people view this season as their favorite because of how successful each ex-Iz*One girlie is, how so many other groups with pd48 contestants debuted right after the show, and simply because of nostalgia due to the Iz*One era being 2 and a half years meaning it was longer resulting in more content/more connection to the group, as opposed to I.O.I who only had 10 months. I can also mention that they almost disbanded prior to the end of the contract bc of the rigging scandal, so that sob story also contributes to the nostalgia lol, along with them never having a proper tour/sendoff because of covid (their last concert was an online concert and each member literally sobbed about how they couldn't spend their last moments as a group in person with their fans). Looking back, yeah the talent and entertainment value went down severely in comparison, but there's also the standouts where I feel like because there were some hella low-lows in performances, so the high-highs of this show felt more grand than it actually was because of how lacking some of the talent was. Naturally, I feel like the show does get better as it progresses with the performances and the weeding out of trainees who couldn't even compare to the bad trainees of season one.

Yesss totally makes sense!
