Objectively one of the best Buffyverse episodes of all time and for sure one of my personal favorites. I’ve been waiting weeks for this reaction and it didn’t disappoint. It’s just so much fun and it’s also a great episode to rewatch on its own when you want to laugh. So many classic moments. Some trivia, Joss Whedon’s dad wrote for The Muppets at one point and the puppet and puppeteering was done by Jim Henson puppeteers. They actually did create puppet Angel dolls that you could buy and they are out there and pop up on eBay occasionally. FYI, the next episode is a part 1 of a 2 parter.

Fun math fact: Wesley said '99.999 ad infinitum percent', which is another way to say 100%. So, Wesley inadvertently dismissed Angel's relationship with Buffy.

Omg I love this EP. I've been waiting for this one, it makes me giggle SO MUCH.

I LOVED watching you watch this!! I've seen it so many times that watching you see it and laugh so hard to it for the first time was pure gold. The puppeted man who started the company, he's the mustard man from Buffy, again, he's also been in two other episodes of Angel and in Dr. Horrible. Which is why when we watched the behind the scenes for the Buffy series and they talked about Joss hating writers writing themselves into acting roles I was shocked. It's happened so often, even with Joss himself! "Wee lil puppet man" lives on forever. lol. Such a fun episode as we get down to the wire.

17:53 - 18:07: (Long, drawn out pause...) "(clears throat).... Is Angel a Muppet...? (Uncontrollable giggling...) "...What...?..." THIS is the reaction I have been waiting for. So much fun! On a more serious note, I do appreciate that "Self Esteem" is not just the catchy theme song in this episode but also appears to be the underlying theme for our three boys Angel, Wesley and Gunn. Gunn is questioning whether he would be any good to the team if he didn't have the knowlege W&H shoved in his head. Wesley is so mired in his insecurities he doesn't even notice the very obvious romantic hints Fred has been dropping his way. And Angel is in much the same headspace, struggling with his fears of being too emotionally unavailable to be in a relationship, not to mention his deeper fear that he is in fact becoming a "puppet" for Wolfram and Hart. All in all, a super fun episode that also moves the character development forward. One of my favorites.

Oh my gosh, you made it to Smile Time, Darcie! I had a feeling you’d love this episode for all the same reasons you have. Seeing you enjoy this episode had me laughing as hard as I did the first time around.🙈🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The "I woke up like this" edit is the best edit I've ever seen. Watched it three times and laughed each time.
