It’s more than sorta awesome, it is awesome. As much as it sucks to lose Fred because she was a character that I loved, she wasn’t doing much this season and the Illyria character really gives Amy Acker a chance to show what a great actress she is by playing something totally different and fun. We may be losing Fred but we aren’t losing Amy and her new character is so cool. It’s sad but it’s also very fun

I also really do love how they bookend this two part episode with the flashbacks of Fred leaving for LA. It’s impossible to not get choked up at the end with the song and seeing Fred drive away knowing that she’s driving towards so much pain, 5 years in Pylea as a slave, controlled by Jasmine and ultimately, her death. Just devastating to think about. RIP Fred

Lorne lost his best friend imo. Their friendship was kind of a background thing in terms of storyline but I really believe they were platonic soul mates 😭😭

I wish Lorne hadn't blamed himself for not reading Knox well enough. In my head cannon, I don't believe he ever did read Knox at all. If you remember, in the first episode of the season, Fred told Knox he didn't have to go see Lorne to be read. It was her way of telling him that she believed he wasn't evil.

With the thought, depending on how many years Fred was in UCLA before being sucked into Pylea for that 5yrs (before rescue). Every time I watch that last scene of Fred, I can only think ‘in less than 10yrs she will be d£ad”. This show hits hard.

Sorry If somebody else already posted this. I wanted to mention that the actor that plays Knox, you know Fred’s evil assistant, in this episode is also the vampire/therapist that Buffy talks to in 7x7 of BtVS Conversations with Dead People. Holden Webster is the vampire’s name. Jonathan M Woodward is the actors name.
