omg happy tuesday corn pops!

im SO late in posting this link BUT a long time ago, in a video far far away, i watched the unaired buffy pilot and asked brandon to weigh in on why it felt like the og willow and xander didn't have the same chemistry as our beloved willow and xander did!

if you're interested in an acting coach's perspective on why this may be, he so graciously made a video outlining some points :)

thanks so much for making some tuesday content for us brandon! make sure yall go subscribe to him on youtube and check out his patreon! (i believe he is watching doctor who there!!)

This was so interesting to see the differences and how music and editing can change a whole scene. I think replaying the chemistry from both pilots, one seems smoother than the other.

Very interesting to see someone break it down like that. The "original" Willow actress, Riff Regan's performance was honestly pretty lackluster and stiff. In her defense she might have believed this wasn't going to be seen and wasn't going to lead to an actual job. This 'pilot' was filmed more as a proof of concept for the production company and Joss has stated that they were still trying to cast Willow when this was filmed. I feel Alyson being hired really saved this show because she has such amazing chemistry with every actor and really sold us on this nerdy, quirky, shy girl character.
