Don’t stress too much about the trust fund, Trix said the original plan was to give her the money when she turns 25 so that’ll still happen lmao. You can definitely see why Lorelai distanced herself in this episode. Emily refuses to bare any emotions to her. This easily could’ve been solved with a quick “I really want you to still come over for dinner, I love you.” Also interesting look into Lorelai’s view of her relationship with Rory. Lorelai ran away from money, so it makes sense that when she thinks of large sums of money she thinks trouble. Plus I do think Rory is a bit young for that much money, definitely better for a 25 year old to have.

It's both nice and awful to see Emily sort of be treated in an overexaggerated way as she treats a lot of other people. We've grown to care about her so it sucks to see her be treated how she's being treated by Trix (and for Richard to just sit there and let it happen is WHOLE other story). But it's also very much the same attitude she has towards everyone else, so it's kinda like she's getting a taste of her own medicine. And while it's nice to see her a bit more vulnerable in the sense of adding complexity, it still sucks to see her go through it

While I support the decision to watch something else instead of going to season 2, choosing to not watch Gilmore Girls in the fall feels a bit like a crime.
