For whatever reason I thought this was the first or second episode of season two, so I've been waiting for it for such a long time. It's not a favourite episode for me, but very memorable. We're getting so many pieces of the puzzle now and everything is getting so intense. I hate what Adel did and how she betrayed Topher. Also the actor who played the d bag who ran the house this episode? Normally I have a crush on him in other shows (like Dexter!) but in this he just churns my stomach in the worst way. 🤢 My favourite part of the episode is: "ZOMBIE!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Even though I know it's coming, I laugh every time! Only a few episodes to go!!

The red haired sheriff... Glenn Morshower is the actor. I know him most recently from The Resident, but he has had 1 episode roles on Criminal Minds, L&O, L&O: SVU and a bunch of other shows. He was also in the Transformer movies.

This feels like one of those episodes where they are putting the pieces together for the stretch run. Like, they got word that they wouldn’t get a 3rd season so they have to put everyone into place so that they can give us a satisfying final storyline. Hence the time jump where now Echo has more control of switching personalities on the fly. Rossum has the plans that will lead to what we saw in the season 1 flash forward, etc. from what I read, Joss had a 5 season plan for the show from the start and knew where he wanted it to go. This time jump feels like he had to cut a bunch of the middle stuff to get us to where he always envisioned the ending. These last stretch run is a wild ride. Buckle up

This is a really good episode. In a perfect world Echo on her own would've played out as a longer arc. What they did here works though. Olivia Williams is a fantastic actress & Adelle is a great canvas for her. As much as she does care about the Actives she compartmentalizes or refuses to acknowledge the overall wrongness of everything about the Dollhouse. Adelle shows here though for as much as she's morally concerned about the implications of Topher's discovery, her status is her priority. The loss of control over her little fiefdom pales in comparison to the damage that could come from the tech. She's resigned to the future to come & doesn't want to be on the losing side.

Okay, I guess I can kind of see where Paul is concerned about her capacity to consent... but she's consenting to things much more dangerous than sex, dude. Clearly you trust she's capable. And also just... how in the hell is he saying no to Eliza Dushku because I sure as hell couldn't XD

You already know that Topher's tech will be used, it's the tech that is being used in Epitaph, Part 1, sadly :( This episode was the birth of what happens in that episode

The insight in this episode Gives a whole new light to why Addel comforts & cradles Topher like her child in S1E13 It’s not just his insanity & guilt it’s more her own. Maybe he’s tortured by the fact that he came up with the tech, but she’s the one who betrayed him and gave it to the enemy. Such a poignant scene in S1E13 now we see the origin of both their guilt.
