The Spice Girls and Dido raised me but I'm sure this isn't the first or last time the Gilmore Girls make fun of pop culture stuff that I would totally stand by today. Love this episode! Totally underrated one or at least it is amongst the Gilmore Girls enjoyers in my life. Sad to be losing these Wednesdays for a bit during the hiatus but excited for whatever show we'll be getting into!

I have such a weird love/hate relationship with Emily, I don't know why it brings me so much joy to see her having real fun, on the odd occasion that it happens, but then she makes me so angry when she still has to have one smug, sarcastic dig at Lorelei before she leaves. Like, why Emily, why? Lol. Gosh I'm going to miss this, I'm sure the next show will be great, but I'll be counting the days until the girls come back. Thanks for all the laughs too Darcie, you're the best.

Not done with the episode yet, but speaking as an introvert who used to prefer to read at lunch, that guidance counselor's advice was both terrible and infuriating. She basically told Rory to completely change her behavior, without offering any legitimate reasons why or any useful suggestions how. Worse, intentional or not, her counsel could easily be taken as a threat to withhold a recommendation unless Rory did what she wanted. I'm only 11 minutes in and I hate her.

I don’t know how anyone can listen to music (with words) and read at the same time. That is too much for my brain to process because when I read I hear the words in my head .

I soooooo get Rory here. I also love being by myself, and it's crazy the school makes an issue out of this! Duh! (And yes, socializing IS exhausting! :)
