I also see both positions here (Rory and Lorelai), but tend to think Lorelai is a bit too stubborn in this and still insists on "solving it all by herself", without taking into account how Rory was scared in this situation and did what she thought was necessary. And ultimately, Lorelai did need some help, so....

Happy to be back!! I’ve enjoyed orphan black but I wouldn’t call it comforting lol! Happy to be back to a comfort show. I get Lorelei’s point but I also always felt for Rory - she must be scared and she wants to help fix the problem. She only has her own relationship with her grandparents to compare to so doesn’t really get why her mom is saying no.

This show also does suffer from the early 2000’s “not like other girls” trope a bit. The initial reaction to Lane as a cheerleader isn’t great but at least they fix it!

The Lorelai/Emily dynamic is my favourite (obviously not as a model in real life but those characters are just so interesting and the actors chemistry is fantastic) so I like this one a lot. Rocky Horror is definitely a must watch, you'll have a blast with it!

I will miss Orphan Black, but this is fun too. And I will join the chorus that you MUST check out Rocky Horror. Ideally, with a group of friends who already know it and will love taking your virginity at a midnight showing in a great 2nd run theater. But if that's not possible, then the next best thing would be here with us on Patreon (and later highly edited for YT). I'm telling you I'd click play on that SO fast.
