Just woke up and going to watch this with my morning coffee before work — such an iconic episode!!

The Jess shenanigans continue. I love when Luke and Lorelei just hang out and talk to each other. They have crazy chemistry even just as friends.

I was Rory’s age when Gilmore Girls was airing, and I was completely in love with Jess. Since then, I’ve rewatched the show more times than I can count. And every time I think I’m over him, I watch one episode and suddenly I turn into Celine Dion singing “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.” I’m 36 now, it’s been 20 years, and I’m still a complete simp for that teenage bad boy. I honestly cannot explain the chokehold he has on me. And I’m not even kidding. If you scroll through my Twitter, there are like five tweets, each two or three years apart, that are literally just “Just started to rewatch Gilmore Girls, and yep, I’m still in love with Jess.” Great reaction! Kisses from Brazil!

I relate to Lane's relationship with her mom like...A LOT My mom was deeply Catholic for most of my life and having known I was attracted to other guys since I was like 5 years old made me hide a lot of stuff from her. To the point where I was absolutely self-sabotaging the possibility of good things in that department because I knew my family wouldn't approve. Luckily, our relationship got better once I was in my 20's and also luckily before she suddenly passed when I was 28. But my upbringing definitely gave me a lot of baggage and it's something I can relate to with Lane Once it's instilled in your head how much of a disappointment your natural actions would be if they went against your parents, it's very very hard to change the way your brain is wired to react I've watched Gilmore Girls a handful of times but for whatever reason, rewatching it lately has really made me analyze my relationship with my mother thanks to Lane's character. I always liked her but I don't think I ever truly realized how much I related to her until recently. Strange how I've never noticed before lol

Rory loving hard right libertarian wet dream "the fountainhead" was certainly a choice they made

I understand the Rory-Jess stuff takes center stage but I love all the Sookie-Jackson bits. Their relationship is definitely quirky & cute. I think it's pretty real as well. A great depiction of two people who've struggled romantically & because of that past hurt don't communicate very well.

I’m soooo happy you are back watching GG. Thank you!

Ugh I find the way Lorelai treats Jess so frustrating. In fact I find the way all the adults in this show treat Jess frustrating. It makes the town seem so immature in that they can't have a little bit of understanding that he's been forced to live in an unfamiliar place by a mother who abandoned him. It always strikes me that Rory has the best relationship with him out of everyone because she actually takes the time to listen to what he's interested in. Shocking that a 16 year old can do that but none of the adults can.
