Yay! Gilmore Wednesday :)

lol I think I can directly tell how old I am when my first thought at Jess leaving is “the insurance company will want to talk to the driver” 🤦‍♀️

OMG the episode with "a film by kirk"! Legendary. :)

That scene with Luke and Lorelai is so intense. Sure she is upset, but it's not Luke's fault, and yes, he has to make sure Jess is OK, too. It's kind of wild that he would be the only one in this scenario who seems to care about Jess being hurt or not. Not fair of Lorelai to act out like that, but understandable given her upset, and in a weird way, it also shows how close they are, as she can freak out completely in his presence (probably not so healthy lol, but understandable). Still, back off, Lorelai! Also, Darcie, your comment about "now they are never going to kiss" had me laugh out loud.

One of my fave t-shirts..."a film by kirk"... :) (I love how you totally get it! Wasn't it an amazing film :) Edit: Wow, had no idea Kirk made it to TikTok lol, as I never use it.

"Everybody loves that movie...and actually most people have not seen that movie." 🤣

Lorelai definitely flew off the handle & Luke was right to push back. He's a stand up guy that did the right thing even if it's making him miserable.

The Akira Kurosawa-Asaad Kelada joke is such a pop culture deep cut. Stuff like that is why I love this show.

Christopher comes through in a big way here. Obviously it doesn't make up for years of being a feckless failson but he's trying.

Taylor tried to sneak a peak at us at 2:44. What a scamp.

I'd like to think that you cracked yourself up while you were editing Shakira into that scene. That was amazing. I guffawed.

I'm not on tiktok, so I was unaware of that, but good for Kirk. At least he went out and made something! I'll be honest, I haven't been a fan of Jess, and I'm not sorry to see him go (though I do feel bad for him too). But that said, Lorelei was WAY out of line. Her line about Luke's commitment to the town and to her and to Rory - what commitment? You're not his wife, and Rory's not his daughter. Jess is his family and, troubled or not, his commitment is to keep him safe and look after him. I get that Lorelei was understandably upset, but she already knew that Rory was fine. Not gonna lie, that crossed a line for me, and I lost some respect for her on that one.

"Wild America" would be a big hit with the annual Movie Festival taking over "The Yearling", especially with the short film by Kirk

Possibly Lorelai’s most controversial moment lol, this episode still gets talked about. Gotta say great acting from Lauren Graham though. When she flexed her neck in the hospital you knew immediately what she was gonna go do.

Seeing that trailer at the end, I don’t think I’ve been less clear on what a movie is about lmao

rudy

Kirk is the GOAT!

🖤 love A Film By Kirk

i agree with you on this, i feel like she was super unfair in that moment - even if i can see why she mightve reacted that way, i dont think it was right

Yasemin

I hear ya! LOL
