Katherine Jenkins playing Abigail is a singer and it was her singing. She is not noted for acting in much else, hence her part was light on the acting demands but she was perfectly OK in that regard.

A heart-warming Christmas episode. I remember watching this on Boxing Day 2010 (a day after it aired) and it's still great 16 years later. There are some great Christmas episodes to come but this is hard to top at the moment.

Technically, we did lose someone...we lost Abigail. We got to see a bit of their last day, but the conclusion to it is, of course, that she dies...and he also probably dies too. :( happy and sad

This is my favourite Christmas Special. I cried with the final day for Kazran and Abi...I watched this before I knew Michael took on the role as Dumbledore so when they announced him as a big guest for this special I was like "Who?". Also Amy as the Cop and Rory as the Roman...in the Honeymoon suite... :D This might also be my fav Christmas Carol adaptaion. It's timey wimey and a little bias but again, favourite Christmas Special. And the final song from Abi...Always gets me emotional and you bet it is watching this

The Christmas Carol framework here is extremely loose but it doesn't matter. This is a great episode. Changing someone's past in real-time as they watch is so clever. The emotional beats really hit as well.

No, we aren't the natural prey of sharks, and most dislike how we taste. But now let's talk about how bullsharks and tiger sharks will attack and eat anything including license plates 😂 those are like the salties of the shark world, and get a big "NO THANKS" from me

That scene when Kazran goes to strike his younger self, then can't do it and draws him into a hug, kills me every time. Such a beautifully written and acted scene.

That is also one of my favourite Christmas episodes. As a bonus I would say that in the episode there is a huge spoiler for the next season and in the future you will get it when you will ever revisit this one.

You're good on the not having seen Harry Potter, avoiding JK Rowling is certainly for the best this episode is both lovely and sad, truly a delight to watch - both now but particularly around Christmas!
