Adequately Excellent Entertainment

1. Toddler Appropriate Episods - Well, according to Ramsey Campbell, that’s just all of them 2. “5 foot something” - LOL! Awwww, I love you guys too. 3. Haunt Monsters” vs “ Scareicters” - Listen man, I just call my So Cal haunt-working friends what they call themselves. On a related note, I now live in Austin, TX and have many friends who work on “Scare for the Cure”, a haunt that raises money for cancer research, because I guess that’s the type of person I attract. Jumping off from your point about “haunt mazes” where it’s just a long line of people shuffling through the attraction… At Scare, you buy your ticket for a specific day and time slot because, instead of mazes like they have at Knott’s or Universal Studios, they send through people in groups of no less than three and no more than six at regular intervals and with a guide to shepherd them along. So scenes get reset between groups and a complete story gets told. Such a setup isn’t tenable for the setup they have at Knott’s or Universal at this point because they’re catering to a much larger audience that also are there for a theme park experience in addition to scares.

It’s true! Plenty of banks still use the pneumatic tubes in the drive-thru teller windows. I used to work at a local bank and it was the only fun part about working the drive-thru. Well, that and being able to turn the mic off and call a rude customer an asshole without having to worry about a complaint to the manager. Also I’m now imaging Chad barging into a bank lobby and slamming his fist on the counter and screaming”SHOW ME THOSE TUBES! I KNOW THEY’RE BACK THERE!”

The MOMENT Chris sang "Come and knock on our door" there was a loud knock on MY front door! Luckily, it was just a man doing some maintenance on my gas meter and not shadowy cultists... this time.

Congratulations on the relaunch! Clearly the "Strange Studies" brand has strong intergenerational appeal. Maybe you should consider spinning off a "Strange Little Stories" podcast to address subjects like why exactly that caterpillar is so very, very hungry.

Let your toddlers listen to Day of the dragon. Instead of your child going to school and telling the teacher “My Mama says that alligators are ornery because they got all them teeth and no toothbrush” They will now say “Chris and Chad told me that alligators don’t move much because they got broken hearts :-(“

Not related to this episode, but I just finished Vandy, Vandy, a Manley Wade Wellman story. It's fantastic- John summons George Washington to kick a dude's ass! I'm sure you guys have mentioned it, but I don't think you've covered it. It references other Silver John stories and is a real fun read. Just an offering for the future.

"You are five foot something!" is, and I'm not being facetious, one of the greatest affirmations I have ever heard.

I can finally comment as I’m finally caught up, but I’ve (technically) been with you through all 3 stages of the podcast. I first started listening while you were still doing lovecraft stories then fell off for several years (due to a mix of school and work limiting my time/money then I recently picked you back up and was able to subscribe towards the tail end of HPPod and into strange studies. Keep up the great work guys
