We're Almost There!

For the semifinals, the first match-up is:

"It's the Last Summer Before College: Wanna See a Dead Body in the Woods?"vs."Coitus and the Greater Metropolitan Area"

Voting is at the bottom, and don't forget to vote on the other matchup!

One of the things that I've been digging about this whole process is the fact that there is absolutely no underlying strategy here whatsoever when it comes to how things work out. On one side of the bracket, we've got "It's the Last Summer Before College... Wanna See a Dead Body in the Woods?" It's nostalgic, vaguely spooky, and will make for a better story of yesteryear that the last season of "Stranger Things," I can promise you that... On the other side, we've got "Coitus and the Greater Metropolitan Area," where the greatest threat to our heroines isn't a serial killer lurking in the woods, but a guy named Trevor who describes himself as an "entrepreneur" because he once sold a vape on Facebook Marketplace.

I can genuinely see myself writing either one. "Dead Body" scratches that itch I've always had for stories where absolutely nothing is happening, until suddenly everything is happening. Then "Coitus" comes along and says, "Counterpoint: what if the greatest mystery wasn't who buried a body, but why Natalia keeps dating men who own decorative katanas?" Both are perfectly valid questions.

But no matter what, these stories have one thing in common: The gang is going to find themselves in situations that would've been eliminated if they'd simply stayed home... probably around Chapter 9 of either, somebody's going to look around at the increasingly absurd circumstances and say, "You know... we really should've just gone to brunch."

Why is that guy always named Trevor? Because I know like at least 3
