IMO I think Dany so far has thought she was pretty much invincible because she couldn’t be burned and because she has dragons but this is where she’s hit with the reality that there are being that are stronger than her. Aryas just skins peoples faces tbh. She learned how to mimic those peoples voices and mannerisms in order to become them but the faces are just essentially really good masks This is lore about previous Targaryens which is written in this Encyclopedia type book all about the GoT universe: dragons have an aversion of going north of the wall. Queen Alysanne Targaryen (long dead obviously lol) wanted to fly her dragon past the wall but her dragon never wanted to like was reaaaaalllly against it. It’s probably because of the threat north of the wall or maybe because of the magic carved within the wall to keep things (like wights or other magical things) from crossing. People think that its just an inconsistency that danys dragons were able to go past the wall due to the author no longer being involved in the writing of the story and the current show runners just doing whatever they want. But my headcannon is that the magic within the wall is weakened enough for the dragons to no longer care.

Apparently in the books once you get brought back to life you lose a part of yourself so this interaction between Jon and Beric is really cool to me as the only two people who have been brought back from the dead The way your face changed when Tyrion was saying Jon is in love with her cause YEAH ACTUALLY, WHERE DID THAT COME FROM. I didn't remember how much I enjoyed the dynamic between the group who went back beyond the wall. Definitely an unlikely band of brothers for sure. RIP Veserion, Thoros and Benjen 😢. The stakes have always been real in this show but they are realer than ever. Benjen really said no nephew of mine is dying beyond this wall. Also crazy but I never thought about how even though Ned isn't Jon's father Benjen is still his uncle anyways from his mother's side.
