I've pretty much come around on this project which is funny since there's nothing that divisive here come around on per se. I was just really really thrown off by game boy being the choice for the third single dropping alongside the EP. It's not unpleasant but I still think it's the most 'meh', throw away kind of catchy pop song on the project). And that's probably my biggest criticism they took a great risk with picking Gnarly as the first single for this and it somehow feels like they didn't really deliver and then continued to play it safe after. I'm by no means saying they should have released an album full of Gnaly-copies. That quite simply wouldn't have worked but you just don't expect an album full of pretty straightforward radio-friendly pop songs after coming out so bold. Maybe what's missing is even one more high energy song. Or a song with a little more ATTITUDE like M.I.A. Again I'm not looking for an album full of them but the balance felt a little weird. I do like most of the songs individually though.

i really really loved the “god bless the t and all the in between girls” line, it’s like what you said, it’s really making progress especially with how this generation is going on right now. even though i really love M.I.A the most on the album, mean girls was a favorite of mine 🩷
