noo you didn't notice treasure box Junhyeok😭😭 when it comes to the three black rappers, there this korean cartoonist who has a show about wanting to pursue music so he traveled to multiple places including Brooklyn where he met the cooper family. Im pretty sure he was the one who told them about smtm since they became close

Junhyeok is actually the kid rapper from Treasure Box that went up against Hyunsuk on the show. Also Tray-B has definitely leveled up since Rap Public and seems more comfortable standing in own light without Fleeky which what I wanted.

Surprised he didnt look familiar to you but Junhyeok is from Treasure Box. The little rapping monster that battled Hyunsuk since the start of the show. Not saying he’s anywhere close but his voice and rapping style lowkey gives Kendrick vibes

so far Im really looking forward to milli, haon, oxynova, wez atlas, dude with the really long name, second okashi guy, aussie guy, TNX rapper, and Junhyeok. Also Im very bitter about some of the people they passed including Sunhye and Chico chicano or wtv her name is knowing they barely pass any women but didn't pass Ash B. Ash B???? as if she isnt in top 5 female korean rappers smhh side eyeing all the producers currently. Khundi Panda pretty much did the same thing Nafla did, lying about their mental health so they’ll be excused so he’s pretty much done being on tv. He’ll probably get jail time😭 praying this wont be the case for Mino too

resident okashii expert here lol - okashii is five members (officially - they have other people who are part of their creative team, but musically it's just five). there's the three you see here; of the three of them, jeffrey and mason produce the most. raf does sometimes, but way less iirc. matt (or matthew) is their fourth member. he solely produces (and mixes/masters for half the khh industry atp). their final member, and the most recent official addition (within the past year) is pullupboi! they haven't released any music since he joined, so i'm not exactly sure what his role will be, but he's a dj who has been constantly with the group since their debut basically. fun fact! he and mason home are twin brothers. not identical though. we think. even though they look almost exactly the same. which took me and the rest of the okashii fandom (five other people on twitter) way too long to discover back in 2023. like hey, mason home and the rest of okashii hang out with this guy pullupboi that looks a lot like mason a lot lol. oh they posted a photo together with the caption twin, isn't that funny haha they do like alike. anyway. tldr if you need any okashii information i am the person to ask lol

alsooo i did not love how they sounded on rap:public even as a massive enjoyer of all of their music (which is fabulous btw you should check it out, esp their most recent album orton). i think back then in particular, they were super suited to only their own beats and not really much outside of that. i do think they've evolved since then (raf in particular - i think he has the best shot of any of them).

Yes! I also didn't recognize him at all until the end of this episode but I immediately was like "that smile is so damn familiar" but it's so crazy how much he's grown up. Like obviously that's how aging works but I will forever see him as the little 13 year old kid from YG

Just to let you know episode 3 got translated today aswell!! From this episode the standouts for me were Luci Gang, Raf Sandou the guy whose name i cant pronounce and Vice Versa but theres some really nice performances waiting in episode 3

Not that anyone asked but my essay for ep 2 has arrived :) My top 3 favorites based on this ep alone are 1. OXYNOVA 2. Illhwakcheonggeum 3. DKAY Honorable mentions: $till J.Cark Wez Atlas Idk how these shows are supposed to work since it’s my 1st time watching SMTM but lowkey Oxynova already got a fan outta me. I’ve already listened to two EPs like.. I’m sold 😭😭 hopefully he can go far in the show Random thoughts: -I tried but I just could NOT unhear Coi Leray when watching Mason House -sorry Raf Sandou didn’t deserve an all pass 😔 -the way they failed Microdot so fast smh… although when he started with the singing I already had a feeling💀 -I really like Viceversa’s name and shaved head look here -the problem is I can hear Sunhye’s potential but she keeps messing up so I do think they should’ve just sent her home.. even the waiting room felt it was unfair so now a lot of the other contestants probably feel slighted since they could mess up exactly like her and not be passed and think it’s because she’s an idol.. not saying that’s the reason why they didn’t fail her but it is NOT looking good rn -I enjoy how much thought goes into Junhyeok’s performances; bonus points for the “this fit way too tuff” line and the lil bit of choreo, felt like it was own mini concert -I wanted to see Fleeky Bang this ep since Tray B did so well but hopefully it’s in the next ep :) (I only watched ep 2 on my own so at least this next one will be new for me) Also plzzz not you calling me out for writing the essays in your comments skdjkskskds I always write it out then edit it down to less than what I originally wrote too.. sorry y’all.. I am just.. a wordy individual.. 💀 Anyways this rewatch was so fun!! Thank you for your additional contribution to “I’m barely walking free” staying rent free in my head LOL
