unedu has two labels - yng and rich with superbee (royal 44, oxynova, etc), and then his own label, dirty play (fleeky bang, polodared, tray b)! which is part of why royal is so close w/ all of the dirty play guys + they collab so frequently

general consensus (at least in the spaces i'm in) is that mama was massively robbed - everyone thinks jeff should've moved on to semis, and junhyuk should've been eliminated instead. personally i prefer mama by a lot (esp song-wise) but i totally get how dirt won lol

I can’t say I agree. I think Junhyuk is still holding his own amongst all the survivors. Though I am enjoying Raf sandou more each ep, I think junhyuk is showing more imo! I can see how dirt won, listening to Mama more tho fasho.

It’s hard man all these songs were bangers but you clearly had to bring the energy if they wanted to win, sky pass go dumb crazy though been listening to that most from this round, fun fact sky pass stage and styling was done by osuns (unconfirmed)girlfriend, kiss kiss also is a great track I feel like the auto tune felt really loud in the stage but sounds better on the track and yeah the track is charting pretty well along side tick tock and ssak

i will say, on my initial watch of it, i really did think that fleeky deserved to win, but upon rewatching, milli's perfomance was just so overwhelmingly good, he really didn't stand much of a chance. (i still massively prefer his song though)

Changed my name, but it's kurai. I'll get episode 11 timestamps for you. My bad, in other seasons you didn't want to even hear the songs before the actual stage. For Marv's, the scene where he calls the feature looked similar to him thinking about a title 😅. Didn't think to double check them.

FINALLY!! I was waiting for this! I've been watching SMTM12 by your side, so these features and performances were crazy! From each round, these were my favorite performances: (no specific order) Mr.ROCKLEE SOOM/Bounce back (Flowsik did amazing, so sad to see him go) SKY PASS 🔛🔝 AEIOU, and EMERGENCY were different yet good. Personally, I was vibing with FLEEKY more (sad to see him go too), but I love my girl and DIRT was crazy, had me jumping! MAMA is a song I might listen to a bit more, but both were fire!!! So excited for the Solo performances!!

Actually I do like to hear your opinions about the officially released and studio recorded versions!! Because it does sound so different on stage vs recorded so it’d be cool if thats something you did for the songs that you did like and to see if you would still have the same opinion about the studio version!!

wait it's so crazy being in different forums and hearing WILDLY different opinions. Dirt wasn't my favorite song by any means (and I personally performed Mama) but when I heard it I was like "damn...OK?" And though I don't think it's everyone's taste, I could totally see the concept and vibe and I think they executed what they were going for well. Like I could also see how it's something the audience would enjoy and both Raf and Junhyuk have really good stage presence which people have to admit plays a big part in these live stages. But people on Reddit were absolutely SHITTING on the song and performance. I read the opinions from the forum before I had watched the episode, and from the way people were talking, you would think it was absolute thrown together slop. Like I deadass thought it was gonna be bottom 5 performances of the entire season.

I agree about the ep7 recorded songs with a preference to the live versions :,D When I heard No Manners studio version, I was weirdly disappointed?? The biggest discrepancy in impact for me in that song in particular was Flowsik's part at the end of his verse where he does the gun sound effects lmao, it fell way short for me in the recorded studio version compared to the live. But I felt that way for a few other verses/songs that episode too, it just seemed more apparent with that example. I think Fleeky Bang still had great impact in his studio ver, and this is my first exposure to him since I haven't seen Rap:Public yet, but him in Money Checks actually makes me want to dive into his music further once I'm done with SMTM12 (so I can avoid any spoilers, since I am behind bahaha!!).

Here's my thoughts after each battle: I initially watched Marc vs Zene the Zilla on my own when I was very tired, so the experience was not the same as the second go around bahaha. I was still expecting something a little different, like more intricate on both of their choruses to really hook my ears, so I personally think both of their songs fell a little flat in that regard. However, Zene's song did hit a lot more for me this go around and it seemed to fair a lot better with his feature, than I initially was thinking. If you have Justhis as a feature, you gotta make sure you deserve and show OUT for that LMAO. Good job overall, and altho I enjoyed Marv and Penomeco, I would have voted Zene too. I always like to see the producers endorse and support the losing artists, so that was really nice to see from Zico and Jay for Marv at the end. Tray B and Jeffery White's duo song went CRAZYYY. I was wondering how TrayB would fair on a more sentimental, uplifting song also before they began but he KILLED it. And I agree heavily that Hwimin tore that beat up omg the beat switch was so good, I got chills. And then the key change???!!! SHEESH. But I def think Uneducated Kid didn't need to be on the track either lmao, thankfully he didn't detract from the song tho so I'm not mad. The song was so good, I can def see myself streaming this one. OKAYYYY Raf Sandou and Junhyuk did far better as a combo together than I originally was anticipating omg!!! I LOVE how experimental the beat and concept was for the song, plus how versatile each verse was I felt like Raf and Junhyuk showed several different styles that blended very well with the concept. I also appreciated how laid back and reserved Zico's tone was on the song, which has enough zing to really vibe out to the song, but it doesn't overpower or outshine Raf and Jun. What an unexpected, grimey ass song that I fw ooooouuuu. I was stank face the whole timeee. I just don't know which team I would vote for or who would win!!! I think I probably would vote for Raf x Jun simply because they had a more unique and standout concept? But wow both teams did really good this round and both felt like finale songs for the show. It was a shame to see Jeffery White go home that round :/ He was really growing to be a top performer for me. OMG Osun killed that mf song sooooo good, I forgot there was even supposed to be a feature until he yelled out BOBBY and i was confused for that split second LMAO. That beat goes soooo hard with that triple bass moment rahhhh. I knew Bobby was a feature on one of these songs but didn’t know which one, glad to see it was this one!! HE WENT NUTS. AND THEN MASON ON THE ELECTRIC GUITAR????? BRO that song is PEAKKK this episode wtf!!! Bruh I wanna hear the recorded studio version of Royal44 x NOWIMYOUNG’s song lol. I had kinda similar thoughts as you during their part. I think the beat was really solid, but I would have liked to see something unexpected from them both rather than lean into their pretty boy personas lmao. Altho it wasn’t my favorite, and felt like one of the weakest songs on the ep so far imo, they did good for the concept they were going for ig haha. There’s no way they win this round by a long shot tho. (That landslide was BRUTAL sheesh…). MILLI WENT OFF ON THAT MF STAGE !!!!! I also wasn’t sure about the song at first, but as it kept going, I couldn’t even sit and wonder about that bc I was just so hypnotized by her performance quality and grit and grime. The Loco feature went crazyyyy too I loved when he was doing his fast lines and the back and forth ones with Milli. I’ll have to see how the song actually sounds on stream, which may not be my fav, but I can’t lie she still killed that whole thing. I think for Fleeky Bang, Jtong was such a good pairing on the feature. For some reason I was falling out of the song during Fleeky’s 1st verse but once we got to his 2nd one, I was right back in. I wonder what his will sound like in the studio too. This round of songs wasn’t my fav, but they were still fun. I’m glad they did Flowsik and Haon’s performances last and that they were similar in vibe. I think both Jay and Crush killed the features on both too. I honestly don’t know what I would prefer, bc I personally prefer Haon with a different style, but his lyricism was peak. Same with Flowsik tho?! So idk who I ultimately would have voted for, it’s so close imo aghhhh. I think my only deciding factor at that point would just be who I would want to see continue on tracks, which would be Haon. They both did so good that round tho. Idk if I would stream these two songs, but I’ll give em a listen at least.
