Ten minutes later, he was still hugging a crying Faith, and a baffled Buffy when they were interrupted by police sirens. Faith froze. “They are here for me,” Faith gasped.
“They are possibly here for you, Buffy,” he said.
“Why? I’m not the—“ she started, but he silenced her with a pointed glare.
“They are probably here to warn you, maybe check the perimeter, since the girl that attacked you just got busted frp, a police car by unknown kidnappers.”
“But I was the one that was busted from the car—“ she started, then froze. “God, this body switch thing is weird.”
“Imagine what would have happened if it went on,” he responded with a chuckle.
Buffy looked at him, frustrated, and he laughed. “What if they want to come inside to check?” he said.
“Let them,” he said. He knew that he could refuse entry, but he also knew that, with a murderer on the loose, that would make them suspicious without a reason.
“But—“
“I’ll use a simple spell to keep us hidden in the closet. Don’t worry,” he said.
Faith shuffled. “Anyone about to ask me what I want to do?”
He realized that Faith wanted everyone to act as if she hadn’t spent the last ten minutes crying. He decided to play along, because it was better than the alternative. “Fine. Do you want us to give you to the cops, or do you want to hide with me?” he asked, deadpan.
She managed to give a fragile smirk. “Well, when you put it like that, I much rather stay in your protective arms, handsome,” she responded, yet throwing a glance at Buffy rather than him.
She was clearly obsessed with Buffy, and flirting with him was a way to annoy her, even when they were about to hide from the police.
He was lucky he caught on to the body switch. If he didn’t … well, things would have gotten very complicated.
He carried Faith to the closet, still tied. “So, handsome, ever played seven minutes in heaven?” she said the moment the door closed, using flirting as a way to deflect. He understood exactly what was going on. “Because I can show you I’m a much better kisser in my own body.”
He chuckled, but didn’t say anything, instead whispering a few latin phrases to make sure the concealment settled over them well.
"Why the closet?" she whispered. "Since you’re using magic, can’t you hide us in the bed? It would have been more comfortable."
"Magic is weird. Context matters," he responded, still whispering. “A closet is already linked to the concept of hiding, not to mention it’s small and dark. Combined, it’s much easier to cast something that would hold for a while. It’s hard to maintain the same for the whole bedroom.”
“Really, I have seen little red pulling much more impressive stuff.”
“Willow is much stronger than me in terms of raw power,” he admitted without any shame. “It’s like trying to arm wrestle with you.”
“And that doesn’t bother you?” she asked.
“Nowhere as much as the power difference between me and the vampires, even the run of the mill ones. It’s tough to know that one mistake is enough to kill me.”
“Yet, you’re hanging in Sunnydale.”
“Well, someone has to. And, it’s not like other places are free of vampires. Here, at least I have my backup.”
She snorted. “Don’t rely on it too much. The moment you make a mistake, you’ll get kicked out just like I did.”
He didn’t remind her that hers wasn’t exactly a small mistake, because it wouldn’t be productive. Her situation was too complicated, and he wasn’t exactly a moral paragon insisting on following the rules.
Especially for a troubled woman who was destined to deal with monsters as a matter of fate.
While they talked, they also listened to the police checking the house slowly to make sure there was no intruder, while Buffy claimed that it was safe, that there was no need to worry.
“So, what about that seven minutes in heaven?” she asked again, her voice provocative as she shuffled her position. She was tied down, but that didn’t make her completely immobile, so she shifted to sit on his lap.
“Are you sure you can handle it?” he said.
“Naturally,” she responded. “I’m only worried that—“ she started, but he interrupted her with a kiss. Her surprise was beautiful, so was her reaction as he kept it gentle and sweet. When he pulled back, her whimper was beautiful. “Wow, that’s brave. What if I tell that to B?”
“Then you risk the kisses stopping,” he responded as he brought his lips down, kissing her neck. He had no intention of keeping it a secret from Buffy, but he realized that giving Faith a way to get back with Buffy would help immensely.
And, it wasn’t like he hadn’t noticed just how much Buffy loved watching him dominating Willow.
“A serious threat indeed. You know what you are doing. No wonder B is a puppy around you,” she responded, trying to sound confident, but he could feel her defenses crumbling as his lips worked on her neck.
It was clear that she was experienced, but there was a huge chasm between casual one-night stands that existed as a distraction, and proper lovemaking that forced both partners to be fully present and aware.
He could see that it was affecting Faith much worse, especially after discussing the evils she had committed. She couldn’t mentally claim that she was tricking him somewhat.
When he pulled back, she was desperate and dazed, but soon responded by shuffling her hips, turning that into something sexy rather than just gentle. He let her. It was what she needed to feel in control.
Though, he had to admit, it felt good, especially when the cops opened the closet door to check them, only to miss, the spell hiding them from view. “Wow, kinky,” Faith whispered while the two cops continued to check the room, yet not seeing them.
He stepped out once the police drove away, and carried the Faith to the bed. “How about we continue? I’m sure I’ll be more fun than the blonde,” she teased.
“Maybe,” he said with a naughty smile, then kissed her again before walking out. Buffy was still downstairs, looking confused. “Everything alright?” he asked.
“Confused. That talk was…” she said, kissing him, then pulled back. “Why do your lips taste weird yet familiar?” she asked.
“Because you had that taste in your mouth until about half an hour ago,” he said to her.
“You—“ she started, but he interrupted her with a kiss. Which, despite her shock and anger, she still responded to.
“Look, trust me,” he said. “I think I can reach her. Though it’ll require some intimacy.”
“It won’t work. She—“ she started, but he kissed her again.
He caressed her cheek. “Look, I understand she has made a lot of mistakes, but the whole thing with Slayer is too complicated to just write her off.”
“It won’t work,” she said.
“It’ll work,” he said. “And, I think I earned enough credit to try.”
“Fine,” she said. “But I’ll…”
“Go back to your mother, make sure she’s alright. It’ll help,” he said.
“While you … her … do it,” she said, strangely ashamed.
“That’s the plan,” he said. “Don’t tell me you’re worried she’ll make me forget you,” he teased, deliberately framing it playfully. After their routine threesomes with Willow, she was more relaxed about such things, and he was shameless enough to leverage it for his benefit.
Or, in this particular case, legitimately for the greater good.
A great sacrifice on his part.
“Fine, but only if you help me first,” she said, suddenly pushed him down, and straddled him. It was something he was happy to give her.
Though, he didn’t miss that she was being even louder than usual…

When he returned to the bedroom, about twenty minutes later, Faith was still sitting on the bed. It wasn’t surprising. She couldn’t have gotten out of her bindings without making enough noise to alert Buffy, and even with all the noise she was creating herself, she would have heard it.
“Is she always this loud?” she said, trying to sound frustrated, but she couldn’t just how aroused she was from him. He wasn’t surprised. It wasn’t even about him, at least mostly. Faith was obsessed with Buffy.
“Not usually, no,” he responded without any shame. “I think she was making a point of reminding that she knows how to use her own body the best.”
Faith laughed. “I can do much better than her.”
“Well, don’t let your mouth write checks the rest of your body can’t cash,” he warned, caressing her.
“So, where’s she?”
“She went to spend some time with her mother, considering everything,” he said, and saw another flash of guilt in her eyes. She was probably realizing that taking Buffy’s mother hostage wasn’t the best move.
“What’s the plan?” she said. “Are you going to keep me as a part of the decor?”
“Tempting, especially if I get rid of your clothes. You’ll look amazing with only ropes,” he said. “But, I have a different idea. A bet, if you will.”
“A bet on what?” she said.
“A bet on whether you’re a coward or not?” he said.
“I’m not a coward,” she said, her expression conflicted. “Do your worst!”
“That’s what we’re going to test,” he said, realizing that she misunderstood his words. He reached her ropes, untying them one by one.
That left her confused. She said nothing until the ropes were gone, and she started rubbing her wrists, looking at him. "What’s wrong with you?” she asked. “You're just untying me. Right now. Alone."
"Yeah."
"You're an idiot," she said it flat, threatening tone.
Admittedly, when she reached to grab his throat, her grip impossibly strong, he did feel stupid, but he had already committed. “Well, I can’t argue about that. Did you know when I first met, I thought Buffy was a guy, and she was this tiny girl intimidated by the famous vampire hunter?” he said.
That made her giggle, though her hand was still around his throat. “You’re not serious.”
“In my defense, she’s not who I expected from a legendary vampire hunter. Supernatural things make it very confusing.”
“You’re too relaxed for a guy I’m about to injure seriously,” she said. “Even if you call for Buffy, I can break your neck and get out of the window in four seconds, right? Scot-free, no one will find me.”
“Probably,” he said. “But that’s the whole bet on your cowardliness is about.”
“You think I’m afraid of fighting with Buffy? Never,” she said, her fingers tightening.
“Again, not what I mean,” he said, betting a lot on his assessment of her, but if there was one ability he was willing to bet his life on, it was understanding the ladies he was intimate with. While knowing Faith had killed multiple times, doing so under the manipulation of a three-hundred-year-old demon was different than doing it of her own free will.
If she truly wanted to kill for revenge, she would have killed Buffy after they had changed bodies, giving herself the perfect alibi.
“What do you mean, then?”
“Fighting or running away is the same. It means giving up the choice. Win or lose, you’re locked in a path. The real courage is to stay here, fighting the good fight, paying the penance for your mistakes.”
“My mistakes—“ she said, angry, but her fingers actually loosened.
“Look, we both know what you have done. It is bad. But, real bravery is to confront what you have done, and admit you have made mistakes.”
“Mistakes!” she gasped, her fingers tightening once more, but she also started crying. “I have killed people! In cold blood!”
“True,” he said. He didn’t mention the demon mayor, knowing the demon had screwed up Faith’s mind quite a bit. Also, from the nuggets he got from the others, both Buffy’s team and the Watcher’s Council had dropped the ball so badly that the demon’s twisted paternal instincts were the only genuine warmth that was available for her.
Blaming him would make Faith angrier … and ultimately, it didn’t change the core fact. Faith still killed people of her free will.
Guilt and disgust flashed on her face when he called it true, but her hand dropped to her side. “Then, why don’t someone just kill me and get rid of the world of filth? I’m nothing!”
He hugged her. “You’re Faith, with all the good and the bad that it entails. You have made mistakes, but you also have the power to atone for them. But, only if you want to. You can also run away. Hell, if you really want, I will smuggle you to Europe.”
“You will?”
“If you want. Just don’t expect it to be any safer than Hellmouth.”
“You’re kidding.”
“The world is a complicated place, in ways that I’m barely starting to understand,” he said.
She didn’t say anything, hugging him back with surprising softness. In his arms, she felt smaller. But, rather than saying more, he raised her chin, and kissed her gently. This time, she didn’t do anything, just letting him. “You’re suicidal, aren’t you?”
“I don’t think you’re going to hurt me.”
She suddenly giggled, and pushed him to his bed, straddling him. “Who’s talking about me? B is going to kill you when she realizes I’m stealing her man.”
“Well, you haven’t stolen me yet. And, even if you did, I’m sure you can protect me from her.”
Her hands were once again on his body, but this time, she ripped his shirt. He responded by removing hers. He had to admit, she did look spectacular. “Suicidal indeed,” she responded, and kissed him again.
He brushed his fingers against her nipples. She moaned, her dry humping turning desperate. “Someone’s impatient,” he said.
“I’m ready for the most amazing seven minutes of my life,” she responded.
He laughed. “Oh, sweetie. You’re underestimating me … badly,” he said.
“Big words—“ she started, interrupted by a moan. “Wow, it feels even better in my own body.”
“Sweetie, the previous massage was to relax you so you can drop your guard. You have no idea how good it feels when my aim is to turn you into a puddle.”
She smirked. “Bring it on. I’m not a goody-two-shoes like B,” she challenged. “Just don’t stay below seven minutes. It’ll be too disappointing.”
“Seven minutes,” he said against her nipple. “You’re adorable.”
“I’m dark and dangerous. I’m not adorable,” she responded, but she wasn’t able to prevent a cute smile from blooming.
“Agree to disagree,” he responded even as he grabbed her waist, and flipped her. She could have stayed on top easily, but she let him take the pace, already too aroused.
He didn’t use any magic to strip her, like he had for Pansy. Instead, he moved down, kissing her belly before he moved down, slowly peeling off her pants and underwear.
He then kissed her inner thigh, but when her legs opened invitingly, he bypassed her wetness, and climbed to kiss her belly. “Not a generous lover,” she teased.
“Just a patient one,” he responded as he dipped down, kissing the edge of her core for a fleeting second before climbing up again, kissing her belly before climbing up to her perfect breasts, teasing the underside.
“So, who has better breasts, me or B?” she asked.
He laughed. “Now, that’s a question only a suicidal idiot would answer,” he said as he moved up, focusing on her neck.
“Really, my neck. Are you sure you’re not a vampire?” she said, trying to hide her whimper. He didn’t even deign that with an answer, working up to her jawline, then kissing her.
This time, when she kissed him passionately, he responded in kind. It was cute how unprepared she was for most of his little tricks, unaware how devastating a proper ‘dance’ could feel.
“This is unfair,” she whimpered when he pulled back from the kiss, dipping down to her collarbone before focusing on her breasts.
“You were the one to challenge me,” he teased. “Don’t tell me you’re already surrendering.”
“Never!” she gasped, but when he reached between her legs once again, he could sense that she was reconsidering it. The pleasure hit her hard, and she gave out a cute little whimper. “If you tell anyone I made that sound, I’ll kill you,” she warned.
“As you wish,” he responded, and while he said that, he let his fingers dance. Two fingers first, tantric allowing him to pace his teasing perfectly. Soon, his lips landed around her clit, the combined assault driving her pleasure higher.
He could have pushed her for a quick climax, but that was not the aim. Nor was to bring her to the edge and keep her there aggressively. No, it was about letting her feel alive and relaxed.
He explored her core until she surrendered with a deep, explosive moan; almost angry, her legs tight around his head.

He moved up while she trembled, kissing her trembling lips. “How was it, Miss Dark and Angry?” he teased her.
“Fine,” she grumbled. “I’m going to revisit my opinion that you might be as terrible as the rest of the men.” Then, she suddenly flipped them, ripped his remaining clothes, and skewered down. “But, if you think I’m going to let you toy with me all night, you’re mistaken. I’m not B. It’s time for you to learn that.”
He just kissed her while her hips danced wildly. He had to admit that she was indeed amazing. She knew how to put her supernatural advantages to best use. She transformed to a succubus determined to drain him.
Frankly, her warning about seven minutes felt dangerously real. Luckily, he had his own advantages. He matched her rhythm easily, always picking the angles to maximize the impact on her.
She climaxed again.

She tried to hide it, but even without his other advantages, her cute, shameful expression was hard to disguise. He couldn’t help but chuckle. “That’s not a sound a girl likes to hear in bed,” she warned.
“Sorry, but you’re so cute trying to act like you haven’t lost after that declaration,” he teased, not afraid of her fake anger.
She growled, and used a familiar trick to silence him, her tongue invading his mouth.
Unfortunately for her, it was a battle she was destined to lose…
