Winter wonderland for 100! We did it! I hope you enjoy a little bit of my face at the beginning, but I just wanted to tell you how proud I am that you made it to number 100. I felt a lot of pressure thinking about how I wanted to end the series, but in the end I did what I know resonates well with the group - not too much wet into wet, easy techniques, and a tiny animal haha. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: The palette I'm using today is the split primary palette by letter sparrow: cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, magenta, ultramarine blue, cerulean(probably closer to phthalo blue), indigo and sap green. I don't use all the colors, but I will name them as I mix them. Feel free to use pre mixed convenience colors as well.

Gouache - white, for snow splatter

Brushes: round 3/0 & 4- Princeton brand.

I only joined in late September but have really enjoyed these tiny paintings. I have a real sense of accomplishment and a new hobby in my retirement now. It was NOT a difficult thing to listen to your voice Kristin! You have a pleasant and soothing voice that makes me feel like “I can do this”! Hi Kristin! I have done all 99 paintings with you and am looking forward to #100! I was with you in Croatia, Diana’s friend, Amy. You would be amazed at how much better my paintings have become since that trip when I was a total beginner. I have so enjoyed your lessons and teaching style. When we are at our small cabin, my husband can hear you also, and he walks by saying, “She has the nicest voice!” Looking forward to the next 100!

I came to this series quite late, mid July, I caught up about 2 weeks ago. Being retired does help. It has been a fantastic, enjoyable and at times frustrating but I have loved it. Thank you Kristin

Susan

Yes. Feeling happy/sad! But also looking forward to continuing this journey with you in the lead. You do have such a calming voice and nature. These lessons have been challenging and relaxing and rewarding. Thank you so much!

Melodee Skiles

I just got choked up seeing your beautiful face! I haven’t done it quite YET, but I am still hoping to finish all 100 before the end of the year. I joined your Patreon last December (after years of following you on socials) with NO idea what you had in store for us. This tiny painting challenge has been one of the most JOY-filled parts of my year. I have loved painting every single one and the accomplishment I feel looking at my collection is one of the greatest feelings ever! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU, Kristin, for the time, attention, creativity, and perseverance you have given to this project. Wow, has it blessed a whole host of people! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💗

Jeanette

I just bought my first gouache this past week to use for snow. So excited to break it in on the last tiny painting of 2025! I’m SO excited about beginning next year with tiny paintings with a purpose! The topics you posted really add some gravity and anticipation to the lessons. I’m really looking forward to having fun, growing, and creating some beautiful artwork! Thank you Kristin! You are beautiful inside and out!

Toni

I started the 100 tiny painting journey mid year and finally caught up last month (it helped that I am retired). It's impossible to express how much I have enjoyed all your videos and live teaching sessions, but especially the tiny challene. It made water color approachable and doable as a daily activity. I try to paint something nearly every day now. It's so good for my mood and brings me such joy. I have learned SO much. My family has been amazed. Collages of some of the tiny paintings are becoming Christmas gifts this year. I can not wait to follow along with you next year. Thank you so much for your calm, inspiring and affirming teaching.

Chris

I can’t thank you enough for all of your guidance and encouragement. I started at the beginning and got sidetracked with travel so I’m a bit behind. I know I’ll catch up and want to finish before the end of the year. I love looking at my album of all the paintings so far. Thank you again and I’m looking forward to more painting next year and meeting you in the Fall in Italy! 🇮🇹 Someone pinch me 😂

Catherine Bielen

I thank you so so so much! I have done all 100 right along with you. I have loved all the videos this year and have had so much fun painting and learning. This project kept me painting every week and that has been amazing. I look forward to 2026. You are the best! Have a wonderful holiday season with your lovely family. Warm regards Cathy Bielen

Kristin, you have no idea how much I enjoyed this series, even if I haven't finished yet all of them, I have a newborn now and that makes it hard lol, but I feel like I've learnt SO much in such a short period, this was a hobby that I was wanting to learn for years! Until I found your channel!

marielle

Kristin, your intro was so sweet! Thank you so much for this series. I can't believe I've actually kept up and finished - I NEVER finish anything! I am very much looking forward to what 2026 will bring. Happy holidays to you and your family.

debbie

Kristin, ❤️. Many of us have listened to each mini painting many times more than just once.! 🤣You feel like a friend by now. Thank you for this wonderful program and for your generosity and kindness. Wishing you and your family the happiest of holidays.

YOU did 100 videos! Amazing. I did as much as I could (not saying how many) and continue to learn from your excellent teaching. You are a gifted teacher and painter and wish you a Happy time off with your family!

Kat Smith

I found this series on YouTube and started it in September. Then I joined your Patreon in October because I was hooked and wanted to finish the series. I’ve learned so much! And not just about watercolor. It’s taught me patience with myself. That I could stick with a hobby and see things through. That I can use painting as a positive tool for stress relief and to calm my anxiety. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can’t wait for next year.

Elizabeth

Congratulations on doing all 100 plus the 100 amazing videos, as well as all the other videos and teaching you do. You're incredible and such an inspiration. Thank you so much. I don't think I even managed half, but loved what I did and think I must do this last one definitely. Maybe next year I will keep up if I start when you start.

Sandy Manning

Thank you dear Kristen for taking the time to share with all of us. Trust me your voice is very calming and easy to listen too and I am being totally 💯 honest. We wouldn’t have stuck out 100 if your voice had been like scratching on a chalk board lol 🤗 you are definitely gifted in your art and you explain very well in each stage what and why you are choosing different colours. I luved the fact you said you nearly went squint painting the deer 🦌 it was SO tiny but well done. You are an amazing encourager and don’t let anything hold you back. I luved your intro too was very special seeing your face before the last painting. Wow 100/100 you did it leading the way and I have luved being patreon on your channel for 4 months now. I had followed you for 5 years before that when I was first thinking of trying water colour painting. Out of everyone teaching on youtube I was drawn back to you constantly. It is your ease friendliness and explaining which is attractive as not every artist can teach but you are a true diamond. I feel like you have become a virtual friend over time too as I look forward to knowing there is a new painting waiting. It’s been a bit like an advent calendar you don’t know what is behind the closed door. Bless you and your lovely family for sharing your incredible knowledge in such a warm and friendly manner. May you all have a blessed Christmas with your lovely family and look forward to 2026 tiny painting challenge. Get wrapping those prezzies time gallops 🤗🙏🎄

Tiffany

Thank you for all you have taught us! You are a super talented and amazing person!

I’m so thankful and grateful that I found Kristin and this lovely supportive group. I’ve had a very difficult couple of years, so I can’t express enough how doing these painting challenges have helped me get through some pretty dark moments. Thank you so much Kristin, and thanks to all of your lovely people. Can’t wait for next year’s challenges! 😘😘😘 xx

Anwar Molani

Kristin, you made me cry too. I never thought I could paint. But this year alone I have painted more than two hundred small, medium, and large paintings. Thank you for giving me the confidence and motivation.

Susie Putnam

I just watched it thru. I love it. I really like the color of the tree .

Malvika J

I joined this group in January, just saw a few youtube videos of Kristin before I joined, just stumbled in, never really painted, got some student paints and cheap paper and started on this journey. Over the next few months I heard I was worth the good paper and I got the good paints and I was surprised I didn't hate what I painted and the encouragement from the group helped me just get more into it. Life events may have kept me a bit behind in the past few months but I know I can pick up on a tutorial anytime I have a quiet moment and get right back in. Thank you Kristin, for giving me the confidence, thank you for your calming teaching style and sharing your knowledge and giving us fledging wings to try stuff out on our own and thank you, the community here, of very encouraging people, everyone on their own creative journeys. It's been a blessing. Wishing Kristin and everybody here verry merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and looking forward to more good times painting in 2026.

Joanny

Kristin you made me cry as well! I loved loved this tiny painting journey with you! I have never painted watercolor until I started with you! This is fun and I can do this thanks to you! Mindy Savage

You are adorable 🩵 thank you for being YOU! I am working on 99 now!

Luella

So you’ve come out of the closet 😂 I am crying just listening to you. Thank you so much for putting yourself “out there” to share your talent, skill, friendship, mentorship, and time! How you do all that you do with young children boggles my mind. I admire you to the tenth degree! Thank you for putting the challenge out, for I just begun watercolor painting this year, and I would’ve never been anywhere near as prolific as I have been under your tutorship. Like I’ve said before I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up, and now sitting back and looking at all my paintings I’ve done this year, truly brings tears to my eyes and makes me so proud of myself. I’ve grown so much and I’ve come so much closer to living in joy. I am an artist! 👨‍🎨

JD

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Priya Shukla

Thank you for this journey, Kristin! I have become a bona fide watercolor hobbyist in no small part thanks to you! I appreciate the opportunity for consistency in my practice, and for your patient, generous approach to teaching. So excited to take everything I learned with you and continue on this journey! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Susan C Terris

Thank you Kristin! I'm still on the journey of 2025's tiny paintings. Your teaching keeps me here, learning through mistakes (my own) and sometimes small successes. Grateful for your bubbly encouragement and "can't waits." How do you do it? I'll be here for 2026 too!

MaryKate Meyer (Du Beau)

Probably more like 200… because I easily watched each one 2 times! Looking forward to next year!
