Glowing leaf for 15! There is wet into wet for the first part, but because it's such a limited palette and we're focusing on loose soft textures, have fun and experiment with what effects you can create. When you get to the leaves, use enough water and pigment that the leaf stays wet the entire time you add the veins and the deeper shadow colors. Focus on maintaining highlights and pushing in the indents and everything else will fall into place. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Salt: I used kosher sea salt from my kitchen

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, magenta, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, ultramarine blue, and sap green

Brushes: round 4 & 10 - Princeton brand.

So pretty! What salt do you use Kristin? I like the size of the grain you use… not too big and not too small.

Lindsay

Thank you!!!

Hey Laura, Kristin mentions in the caption that she uses kosher sea salt. :)

Is it possible for you to include the reference photo in the top left corner on any of your videos that instruct us to refer to the reference photo? It would be really helpful to be able to look at them as we paint along with the video. thank you

I don’t see a reference photo clipped to the video, is it just me?
