Textured strawberries for #17! A little bit of wet into wet and 3 different ways to create texture on these fun strawberries. Focus on highlights, shadows and working fast while the paper is still wet. Use a utility blade or any sharp object to create little open color seed spots, scratched into the surface of the paper. Making those scratch spots bigger in the highlighted side will make them look more visible and help with the illusion of shadows and light. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, magenta, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, and sap green. A bit of ultramarine blue at the end for shadows too.

Brushes: round 4 & 10 - Princeton brand.

I do have one basic watercolor question: How do you keep your paints so creamy? Mine tend to dry into hard blocks overnight. Help please.
