Field of flowers for #34! This one uses dry brush to show you how even in your more wet into wet watercolors, we can use this technique to save the white space of the paper for different objects that need to stay white (for now). Ex: animals, buildings and today we're using it for flowers! The first part is wet into wet and I would watch it all the way through first to get a good idea of where it's going as it gets into the dry brush portion. I can't wait to see how you do with this one! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette- cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, cerulean, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, and ultramarine blue, sap green and indigo.

Brushes: round 4 & 10 Princeton

Every time I watch the video completely before starting to paint. I end up saying, "She's amazing"! Thank you for not dumbing down the paintings for us novices. I always surprise myself at how well they turn out. You are a fabulous teacher! Thank you!

Did you videotape this in real time or did you wait for some areas to dry before moving on?

PB

You mentioned wet in wet…did you wet your paper before starting to film?
