See you soon - 11 AM AZ time - also Pacific time for our live class

The picture attached to this post had the most votes and I can’t wait to show you how to paint this beautiful scene with a focus on gradient and variegated washes.

Materials:

paper- I'll be using a 4X6" piece of arches watercolor paper, taped down.

paint- Bring any paints that you prefer, I'll be using the W&N limited palette of cad yellow, cad red, ultramarine blue, lemon yellow, perm rose, indigo, sap green and manganese by Holbein.

brushes- We'll be using our regular brushes, size 4 and 10 round

If you can’t make the live class, don’t worry! All classes are recorded and available to watch any time after the stream ends.

Let me know what questions you have! Can’t wait to paint with you

Yea! Thanks for voting on this one, all! I tried to paint it over the weekend...so excited to see Kristin's vision:)

Splatter on the bottom for some texture?

Pam

No one on the chat will be surprised I wanted to add splatter!

Pam

This was a blast! Thanks Kristin!

I learned a lot today from you today in Fort Collins, Colorado! I have to use better paper. Observing detail more carefully in the reference photo and color theory are areas for me to improve. Thank you.

Harry, Kristen is like all of us; she wants all the things lol probably why she started teaching so that she could afford her obsession lmao

Vibes! You pick colors on vibes. That's how I choose what SSRI to recommend to patients. It's alllll about the vibes. I suspect if you took the Meyers Briggs personality test, your middle letters would be S and F. 😍❤️

Okay, question - between the first and second layers of the sky, why do we need to dry it completely if we are just going to rewet it? Does it help with preventing the first-layer pigment from moving as much?
