Papaya for #69! There are a few wet into wet parts so I would watch all the way through first, but overall very straight forward variegated and gradient washes in this papaya! I love painting fruit and went for a more loose version, but if you want to go slower and wait for the layers to dry you can make your papaya as detailed as you like. I can't wait to see how you do with this one. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette. All colors are Winsor and Newton, except the manganese is Holbein - cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, manganese, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red and ultramarine blue.

Brushes: round 4 Princeton

The seeds remind me of fish eggs. Kind of slimy and slippery 😬

Bear Raeb Barrett

They remind me of ticks that have colonized upon their food

It could almost be a Georgia o" Keeffe painting . :)

The blending has come out very nice and lifting some darkness from the seeds made it more 3d I felt thanks for sharing
