Autumn leaf for #76! The leaf has pretty simple blending where you can choose whatever pattern and colors you like. Using warm primaries will help us create muddy natural looking color for fall. I would recommend watching the water ripples part all the way through first since it goes pretty quick. Focus on colors, leaving white space and creating circular shapes that get tighter around the leaf to create the ripple effect. I can't wait to see how you do with this one. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Paper: arches 140 lb cotton 9X12" paper that I've cut into 3X3" pieces, giving me 12 pieces per page.

Paint: For this project I am using a split primary palette. All colors are Winsor and Newton, except the manganese is Holbein - cad yellow deep, lemon yellow, cad red, perm. rose, ultramarine blue, manganese, indigo and sap green. The colors I'm using today are - cad yellow, cad red, manganese (by Holbein) and ultramarine blue.

Brushes: round 4 & 10 - Princeton

I just joined your Patreon; your tutorials are so helpful and constructive, thank you. I couldn't wait and painted the leaf yesterday -- almost got over my fear of painting water ripples!

I’ve been a member since January but struggle with keeping up. I’m sticking with it though and now only 10 behind. lol. I’m so enjoying all the little paintings and I’ve learnt so much. I started painting a few years and fell in love with oil paint, so watercolour is a totally different experience.
