Man i wish they'd just run the beginnerbox, i understand time investment/constraints, but man i would've loved to aee the gang just explore the adventure and the world of golarion. The interplay between the different gods and their believers is so interesting. Pathfinder is a system that works so incredibly well when you take your time with it instead of rushing through it. Also i highly encourage anyone to look into the conditions, when it clicks its transforms into such an effortless framework, its awesome.

I think the changes Caldwell made were perfect for running an abridged version - my only thorn is that the fight against undead in the crypt is a perfect moment to showcase the 3-action heal from the Cleric, it feels so badass to unleash divine energy in a burst that heals your allies and harms undead. I agree about conditions though. It feels like a lot in the beginning but after a few sessions it's so much simpler than all of the extremely complicated "conditions" in 5e like Slow or Haste. Slow in 5e is like, your AC is lower, you can only take an action and a bonus action, not both, your speed is reduced, if you cast a spell it might take an extra round to work (or something like that). Slow in pf2e: you have 1 less action

For Guncle Caldwell, regarding the struggle balancing using a scenario made for 4 players, with a smaller party. Pathfinder has excellent rules for adjusting encounters in the CRB pg.489 or the GMcore pg.75 table 10-1

Specifically because of Emily's talking about familiars - there's some cool interactions that can be done with them in Pathfinder. #1 The Witch class is built around being a touch like 5e's Warlock but with familiars on steroids. #2 since you can command a familiar with on action and it gets two actions, I've seen interesting builds with Alchemists that have a familiar having the familiar get things out of their backpack and hand them over. Like, Alchemist lobs a bomb, Familiar pulls out a special item from the Alchemist's backpack and hands it to the Alchemist and the Alchemist chucks another one.

I think the 2-Action melee heal is the strongest, but the trade off is it's just one person, like video game healing, the AOE one is slightly weaker but applies to everyone you want at a range

I have had a brand name here "small" wallet for like 6 years. They are great if you only carry something like four cards. They suck for any amount of cash and forget about coins. I have to use the money clip for most business cards as they are larger than your standard issue id for whatever reason. It has held up though aside from needing some replacement plate face screws as the og ones became loose.

One note about hero points for any future games is that the book recommends that everyone has 1 point at the start of each session. That being said, saving them for the end fight was a good idea! This two-shot was awesome and I'm looking forward to seeing yall revisit pathfinder!!!

The system really encourages just handing them out like candy. One for everyone at the start of session, and the rules recommend at least one per hour to someone.

It's cool knowing that there's another system out there that uses like Nat twenties or critical successes on like saves so you don't do take damage. I have been using that not knowing that another system uses it in my current campaigns on a Nat 20 on a saving throw you take no damage. The way I see it is it's critical success. You did an amazing job dodging the damage or getting the f*** out of there. What have you to be rewarded that. It actually doesn't happen as often as one would think? Sure. I've had a couple of people throw in Nat 20 on a saving throw for like a dragon's breath. But I still end up hitting half the party which in my eyes is good

Who is even using a wallet these days 🥲 the real way is to carry all of my cards in different pockets, constantly losing the on rotation. I have approximately £1.82 in hard change at the bottom of one back but I don't know which. I do have one card on my phone, but it is not my preferred card to use at the moment... But my other debit card is a gamble on if I've actually brought it out or not. I don't remember what my wallet looks like or where it is. The last time I saw it, it was full of used bus tickets, a few unused stickers and more dollars than my actual currency. I'm born in the second half of 1996 so I think this contributes to my choices
