Daniel A.

Why's it always the cleric 😭

Evelyn Carsten

I was just thinking that it was a shame it wasn't out yet so that I could listen at work. Thank you for responding quickly to my prayers

Dax 🤘🏼

comin in hot with the piss cleric title lmfao

Xanian Jamfalcon

Clerics are always the nasty ones, warlocks and bards can't compete.

Dylan Pascal (aka Dapper Warlock)

Literally just now finishing listening to the Pooping Cleric episode from three years ago, can't wait to get all caught up and listen to this one in, like... a month.

Miranda G

the cousin is a great dad in real life, so a deadbeat dad is his wish fulfillment character

Charli A

EMILY. Geese FAMOUSLY migrate.

Alexander Meseck

Did not expect a Fabio and Twin Towers venn diagram

Reed Kierce

Got the notification for this ep while in a zoom meeting with my boss and had to use every ounce of myself to not burst out laughing

Andy W.

As a fellow middle school teacher who has run a dnd club for a few years my advice would be to take a step back. Find an older middle schooler who wants to dm, give them a module and show them how to run it, then chill at your desk and grade papers. You should still listen and step in when needed, like the story you mentioned, but they need space to do their middle schooler things.

JackJack

This episode was NOT reduced to ass

Smiththebat

Hey Murph, Genuinely good advice for the middle school teacher! 🤙 That is all.

FusRohNahSon

mr. president...a second bird has hit Fabio

Sarah Dawson

Fabio getting hit by a goose at the opening Apollo’s Chariot at Busch Gardens mentioned

SimpleWater

I think goose guy should never be invited to another campaign ever lol

The Fun Yaunt

I had the exact same thought!!! But enough about that…

Ed k

"when dice get too fancy then it becomes hard to read them" Rolled a nat 1 on the eldermourne d20 the other night. Didn't know what it was right away. <3

Martian

Just to play dice devil's advocate, considering the fact the rest of the table was also bummed by the lack of goose murder, could this have been a gift from the DM to the paladin? Like maybe the intent was to get more engagement out of this player by including such a specific thing from the backstory and that the attack was expected?

Borgar

asses to asses, Disney ducks to Disney ducks

E.E. Gads

Murph was so right, the replacement die set I bought are cheap and Witcher themed and they fuckin rock

Hoid

“Dock her pay and work through July” is diabolical Jake 😭😭

E.E. Gads

Absolutely wild that Jake's city pull from Maine was Bangor of all places 😂

Hermit

minneapolis shout out !!

Jack Duffy

In no world did I expect a 9/11 joke from Emily Axford in 2025 but here we are hahaha

PissGrizz

Naddpod piss domain homebrew when?

Jacob B.

I've had so so many dice that I've rotated through and I have one favorite dice that broke my terrible luck streak that defined my character for over 2 years. Just a bog standard slightly glossy bakalite-adjacent textured d20

Wouter Van Goey

This was genuinely one of the funniest episodes in Naddpod history guys, I needed this! ❤️

Gabe Dobles

Think Hunter just gave his party too many cool magic items and built a way to get rid of them all

BullywugNugTug

Our DM was very good at highlighting each of our characters, even with 7 of us, by giving each a spotlight moment. However, between you and me (and everyone else here), I really think our DM just had no idea what to do to highlight our paladin’s backstory when it was so limited

BullywugNugTug

He’s a good guy, I think he just likes to play a 1 dimensional bit character. This, however, while having its place at certain tables, is probably best suited for one-shots

BullywugNugTug

He loves Dropout and dimension 20 but doesn’t listen to NaddPod. TBH though I even thought this D&DCourt submission was risky, since both pods share so many members!

rosebramblewolf

Anyone else think the piss cleric is just trying to make the campaign about their kinks?

rosebramblewolf

Also, never roll stone dice outside a padded dice tray!

A. Lee. S

Murph — what do you mean all dice sets get mixed up??? Are you not meticulously separating them? Lest their luck touch??? … just me???

The Fun Yaunt

Woah, so maybe he really did get the idea from Zac’s bit! I took a similar risk with my court case back in December (the Cowboys and Aliens one) with a DM that loved D20 but didn’t listen to Naddpod, so I feel you!

Lindsey

Saw a couple ducks hanging out in the elephant habitat at my local zoo last weekend, realized they got free admission AND a free up-close animal encounter

kora

disney cm here- we once had a bird fly into the attraction i work. it refused to leave, fish & wildlife couldn’t get it, and it made it onto the second floor. birds love disney, confirmed (we were also closed down for the bird for 5 hours. blame the birds).

The Grinch (feral)

“THATS NOT MY NAME. WTF.” “JAAKE, oh my GOahd.” Idk why but that specific voice Caldwell used itched my brain and also made me cackle

Adam!!!!!

i would have kicked the piss cleric out immediately because they clearly have a fetish that i would refuse to play into.

Ian Hanson

Is this the sequel to the pooping cleric court case?

Lachy

Mr. President Fabio's nose has been reduced to ass

Ryan

As a Ryan I hate getting mistake as a Brian. It makes me sooooo angry, It’s not like I’m some nerd with glasses or something…..

clerby

on a very packed train hiding my hysterical laughter from “mr. bush a second goose has hit fabio” (i don’t know who this fabio is but i looked up the picture and he has lucious hair)

Caitlin Sales

I get the distaste for goose paladin, and being sullen at the table is a bad time, but a Generous Read here: if a first time player wants to beat up geese, spends the whole campaign not seeing any geese, finally meets one goose, and then is cast on by a team member and totally barred off from the one thing they wanted to do, wouldn't that be a really bad player experience? The sentence about the table being of 'various experience' with DND is also hazy. Is this person a shit eating veteran, or a newbie who had heard you were 'allowed to do whatever' in DND games? I love the Honk character and I think character growth is ideal, but why would you expect the person with a one-track mind character to not follow that track the First Time they actually have the opportunity? Why NOT have an army at geese at some point before this? I think it's easy to forget that there are many players that are uncomfortable with roleplay, it doesn't come naturally to Be A Character. Justice for the Goose Cannon Player !!

🐧lost penguin familiar

first one: 25 sessions, 6 months. Damn my campaign is at 16 sessions at 8 months... and we've split the party in game / irl 3 times. Never say yes to a 7 player table.

Professor Pratt

Nnnooooooo!!!! No no no. Bush reading. Second goose. Nnoooo!!!!!!

Georgia

great episode but also I am SOOOO excited for more trinyvale

🐧lost penguin familiar

Piss Cleric is a bigger issue that is solved by a thorough session 0 or just draw the line somewhere and let them walk away from the table

Ilana Galpert

Learning that Murph doesn't take care of his dice sets is scandalous and I, for one, am shocked. Simply aghast.

Doctor Ransom

This episode has reduced me to ass.

Kirsten Coffman

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he’s quiet because doesn’t really get what is going on… why throw him a goose bone and then take it away?

Tim Nelson

The 7 flags at Maxiapolis

Adam!!!!!

but enough about that

Professor Pratt

And she’s from upstate NY. Canadian Geese? Hello? Or in their case Bon Jour?

Gearbox

I feel like the entirety of Trinyvale and the Hardwon arc of campaign 3 should have given a bit more empathy to the piss cleric. If the Jampion, DS, and beans were anything to go by, everyone loves a stupid joke in a serious world. Hell, what's his name the fire giant drank his own piss upon his defeat

Lemon Moon

Never let this man near a school, he’ll make the teachers suffer with less pay, more work, and the children will have to eat lunch at their desks

FiendishNoodles

Holy fuck I'm cooking dinner and the bush ear whisper bit made me have to wash my hands and sit down cause I started tearing up laughing

EmperorGreed

I gotta disagree with the justices on the goose hating paladins: while forcing a Vengeance paladin to acknowledge nuance among their hated quarry often works, you can't start with that. They break their Oath by working with their quarry, and they don't get as much of their shit against anyone else.

EmperorGreed

With any paladin, you have to have their Oath be the right thing and good in a few situations before you can challenge it. More importantly, I think the DM is just as much at fault for allowing a goose hating vengeace paladin with no backstory as the player is for playing it. I demand justice, and that the dm also get Fabio'd

John the Spaceship

“Sir, a goose has hit Fabio” I laughed until I cried at that.

Sir_Lion

That's what I was thinking, the first part involving genitals would be one thing but doing it a second time. It's the players barely disguised fetish.

Verdigree

"Codfish" is what Captain Hook called Peter Pan, and Sora

Kas

As they kind of implied, they are comedians on a comedy podcast, known for that kind of humor and it works in the room. The audience enjoys it. This bit the cleric was doing obviously wasn’t playing well. As Murph said, MAYBE the first time the cleric said it, it got a chuckle but like how could that have held up. Context plays an important part here.

Aster Ellis

Agreed; saying the campaign has nothing to do w geese is all well and good, but if it's in the backstory you should as a DM work to write them in somehow. Either that, or come up with another backstory bit that works better with your story. Let the second goose hit the DM, I say.

Gom

i think its full circle that the shitting themselves player from a dnd court long ago and the pissing themselves player are both clerics

SeminoleDVM

“Reduced to ass” literally reduced me to tears. Hardest I’ve laughed in ages.

Blubread00

When Emily said he was reading to a classroom of children I started crying laughing.

Max Herzog

"sir, a second bird has hit Fabio" I NEED IT ON A T SHIRT

Blue Bee

In the defense of the first player, the gm said they made the kid "a major part of the campaign" but like... did they? It took the party a full year of playing to even find him so like. Couldn't have been that important, right? Emily was spot on there.

Randolph Scotters

I like this new version of Justice Hurwitz, he's much less wishy-washy now that's he's DMed. Didn't abstain once, decisive and slightly grouchy rulings.

Kevin but keviner

Can we get some more TWILIGHT? pretty please we will be super good

Kyle Bull

For the shattered D12 it should be put inside a new resin set and be born anew

wiz bif

When I worked at Disney World, I worked by the pool, and specifically at Grand Floridian, there were always ducks on the pool deck or swimming around. My number one bit when a guest would point them out to me was “Oh that’s just Donald and Daisy. They’re doing a staycation. Celebrities need days off too”

wiz bif

I love asking the squirrels at Epcot if they were craving Mexican food that night

Jessica Petra

Campaign Idea: it starts as an escort mission. Take this kid, bring them to a point. On the way, for some reason, a bunch of religious zealots keep on trying to kill them. If the kid gets downed, an elder god that was trapped in this child escapes and now they're the big bad.

LM Larson

Raising Gunkizona?! Caldwell! I love it.

Canadian Schubert the Mushroom 🍄

In this episode, Emily fully believes Murph is a big metal die fan. This was a bit I'm pretty sure SHE STARTED somewhere else during Starstruck, where they joke about Murph loving big metal dice in relation to his big heavy balls. The Queen of commitment, everyone.

Nathan Pittman

This entire episode feels like I took acid and your ago and didn't realize it

Doom Foretold

Certainly the paladin overreacted but it’s fucking insane to put a goose in front of a player that opened the campaign with wanting to exterminate all geese and just be flabbergasted when they attack the goose they’ve been waiting all campaign to kill

Francisco S.

We’ve already had a Number 2 Cleric in an earlier Dungeon Court, so we’re just missing the I’m Oneing Cleric

DM Hunter here! My thought process for using the Wizard, a gnome named Simon, was in fact for him to be freed at the end of the battle! He did get freed earlier than I expected, so mixing that in as well as some great rolls by me and bad rolls by my players, I panicked. Knowing that Simon, as a character, is a true wild card and goes over the top with a lot of things; I asked as Simon if one of the players wanted him to “take care of the problem” and when the player said yes, I used Simon’s upcoming turn to cast Meteor Swarm, an over the top spell from a silly little guy, ending everything within the area and reviving the players right after “taking care of the problem.” At the time, I thought it was a funny and silly moment for a campaign that was meant to be funny and silly. But now I know that it had the opposite outcome. With that, I accept my punishment with the strive to write better encounters, not panic when things go south and to not fumble my chance to meet Scrooge McDuck. Thank you very much, Members of the Crit and special guest Jim.

Nicknack

Caldwell, duckburg linked in guy is just Mark Beaks

KingHalt

Love that the wizard was a Gnome, pure gold right there👌🏻

Thomas

Taking it like a champ!!!

GUYS I'm eating a steak with shrimp and potatoes. Is it a Murph and Surf and Turf or a Surf and Turf and Murph???

Ryan

Shame you didn't think to use Sculpt Spells to troll them into thinking they died, but actually Simon protected them.

AlbireoRising

My friend is a middle school teacher who runs the D&D club at their school. Their strategy for war crimes is to have in-game consequences: the party gets a bad reputation and people refuse to help them, the clerics and paladins temporarily lose spell slots, etc.

Kathryn Martin

I didn’t know about the Fabio incident so I looked it up. In a People magazine Fabio said that the goose hit the camera and the camera shattered. A metal piece broke off and that’s what sliced his nose. “Fabio says the goose ordeal marked "the beginning of 'fake news,' because everyone said I was hit by a goose”

Anthony

I know the paladin didn't "roleplay" his character but when someone at the table finally engages who hadn't, i would never want another player to take that away from them. They Will never engage again and I've seen dms do that. Bad call judges

Sister D the nepo wizard

Hey we all make mistakes. Good on you for listening and adapting rather than getting pissy and defensive like many a DM I’ve played with

Grace Meers

Murph used metal dice for star struck odyssey and complained about it

Hamish

The fact that Murph roles on the table is such a city pigeon move

Hannah

sorry for razzing you via dungeon court friend!!! :))))) still my favourite dm!

Summer Tribe

I'm dead certain they covered one of these cases before

Christina Michaels

When I run my middle school DND club, we have a discussion beforehand, 'Come on guys, we're at school. Keep it appropriate." Then encourage the heck out of their creativity. I've never had a problem

Michael P Mendoza

For the whole Goose thing, why not just make all (or most) geese in your world monsterous beasts and just make the character arch being that the part tracks down to course of what's turning the geese into monsters, they fight some geese, lift the curse or whatever, and then BOOM you never have to think about geese ever again

Cyclopster

Is it me or is the goose thing 100% because of Zac Oyama on Dropout being a goose killing knight? Anyone else think that.

Cyclopster

Whoops I didn't see your comment yes I agree I think he thought it would be funny because if that.

Alexis

please don’t buy from Temu y’all

Joe Howard

“Social climb your way to Scrooge - This show sucks” Counterpoint. This show in fact rules
