I picture the genie ability as only applicable to your own body, making YOU as light as air, and your physical strength based carrying capacity wouldn't make your magic any stronger, so carrying a bunch of people would just push you onto the ground IF the total weight of them exceeded your Firbolg self's weight cancelled out by magic

Austin S

For the Hush case, I have a friend that plays games like that all the time. Whenever he gets bored or upset at another player he just ignores everyone and skips his turn until everyone realizes he’s not happy. We usually just keep playing and wait till he changes his mind, since we’re roommates and he can’t just go home.

Ya Girl Olwen

For the record, Grung *are* overpowered. Immunity to Poison damage and the Poisoned condition from level 1 is way too strong.

If armour can hurt you through under padding or a sword can hurt you through gloves, spurs can hurt you through boots.

Slappy Dave

This bonus case episode is identical to the first episode I know it didn't used to be, so I'm guessing the audio file got screwed up somehow Been relistening to the old DND courts and I was really confused when I switched episodes but it opened with the exact same lines Turns out it just is the same recording twice

Patrick Weidner

tiger case reminded me of a certain character from the Stormlight archive who also craves to be as intelligent as they once were. LET THE TIGER TALK

Alysha Knaphus

I can’t believe that party tried to flowers for algernon their poor tiger!!

MsMagey

Their responses to the statue issue are funnier now that this quorum of the Intrepid Heroes have been to the Vulture Dimension.

Wulfgar Ramsey

Listening to that bee thing while high was otherworldly unnerving

Invader Jimm

Listening to Lou laughing about Tiktok wanting to take their boots off as a free actions is the greatest thing 🤣

Kaidan C

The court was hypocritical this day

Zane Ferrum

I would like to bring up the incredible fact that that tiger is wearing platemail and you have an intelligent armored tiger why would you get rid of that ever

wilson menary

THE SAFARI AND THE GREATEST MAGE OF ALL TIME IN ONE ROOM?

sesamese

you humble us honorable judges and lowly bailiff

Nancy ArtMusic

🥰 it's lovely to hear all of y'all togetherl

Chris Bean

Most bees are ladies! She was a female warrior

hell

the fact that the bee transition wasn't to the swarm of bees case,,,,

Lauren Listing

On the subject of genie-carpets: imagine The Hasslehoff from the SpongeBob movie

Emily C

I'm curious about the the size and composition of the warlock firbolgs party. Their carrying capacity is 15 x srength score x 2, so even if they had a strenght score of 14-18 or so, they would have a capacity of 420-540lbs. So all of their party AND all of their party's gear would have to weigh less than that for it to work RAW, which seems unlikely. But its also dope, so I'd definitely allow it, give them their moment, and just chuck a fireball at them.

some loser

i feel hush on a spiritual level; that man was definitely going through some shit and something during that session was the final straw

Brendan Watroba

Them singing "Amazing Grace" while Emily eulogized a Warrior Bee is absolutely my new favorite NADDPOD moment

Austin Johnson

Grung DM here, I actually have a small pond with frogs in my yard and will be sure to bury, eulogize, dig up, and eat the next one that dies. And y'all are so right. It was a funny bit at first when he hugged a horse to death but it is time to let it go and get him some fancy gloves.

Charles Weak

Also.. you guys keep mentioning not knowing where to find nonstandard DND stuff... You gotta check out Wikidot DND. It's got all WotC material plus some Unearthed Arcana.

Lily Everett-Curwick

“I HATE cute shit!” Next case is about a cat “Awwww. AWWWWW!!”

thaesimir

Knoxville, Tennesseean here. The boot defense hits too close to home

someone (Murph?) just buzzing the tune instead of singing was the capper for me

Doug C.

Lou’s transformation from Player’s Judge to Swing Justice is complete

Felix

Tortle party kill

SJ

Brian Murphy: Animal Rights Activist

StickyLemonDupree

I get the hate for Tick tock, but if he cast heat metal on spurs, the spurs arent actually part of the boot. They are a whole separate accessory and the metal parts arent even in contact with you.

kody lanca

This podcast gives me so much life

BigPidgey

Thank you honorable crit justices and hot boy Emily, my players will be very upset to fly 18 hours from Perth Australia to New York only to see the bull and I will have a good time at the friend's apartment. For some clarification, there was an interesting red glow for them to investigate that was ignored (portal to hell) and the statue was described as a plain statue, with their incessant insight and investigation checks revealing the beautiful detail of the stonework and the fact that one side saw more sun than the other. I wanted to kill someone but I didn't want to punish the only player trying to fight the giant hell spider, so unfortunately they all lived. I will however be taking on board all suggestions of a returning statue and laser beams for the future!

Garga Lenoir
>>66137121

Yeah but if you apply too much logic super heated spurs are so small they shouldn't even register for a giant monster capable of swallowing humanoids.

Titus D. Blaze

Brennan is seething at the last case because four Of the five justices literally focused on a vulture during the first season of dimension 20 🤣

Wyatt

I’m wearing well worn in cowboy boots right now, and there is no way I could kick these off, maybe I could use both feet to pull a boot off, but I’m not kicking them off, certainly not if I’m restrained

Janaga

In my Curse of Strahd game i have spent irl months in sessions making animal handling check after handling check trying to befriend that tiger. I have suffered many bites and claws but they are no problem for a barbarian. He occasionally still bites me but it was worth it to roll up on Castle Ravenloft with what essentially became a tiger war mount. (Also a colossal treant blight but that's another story)

key

Nothing has ever made me happier than Caldwell referencing Tim Robinson

BoPro

Hearing Murph encourage Lou into murdering a PC and their closest loved one to teach a lesson to the survivors is like drinking dopamine from the tap.

Jo

i guess my sense of humor is that dry because i would WITHOUT DOUBT play a romantic partners grandpa. i’m ruling for the player on the first case, as a dm i HOPE someone plays a grandparent of mine

Slippery Pete

For all the kind souls worried about Hush: he was indeed not doing well and ghosted us all while he figured it out I guess. There was a decade long history of similar behavior in our friendship. I never received an apology, he didn't answer my calls and have not personally talked to him since. I have heard that he is safe and doing much better, which is good to know for sure. Emily, how you imagined the combat going was spot on. It was wild, I entered a fugue state and just powered through. Objectively funny although no one was laughing. It was not the move for sure, but reacting properly to curve balls is a skill that comes with experience I hope. RIP Poor Tortle

GREYFOX!!!!!

They break both his knees then bee him and he's allergic. That said the wicker man is so bad it's hilarious 10/10 recommend. Also apparently the bee scene is apparently really scientifically accurate as far as the bee's behavior. Ps. Angry Murphy is bae

Austin Johnson
>>66115234

I played this episode for the player, and he now wants Tiktok's pink cowboy boots and spurs as his pact weapon so he can can poison the spurs and kick people with his "thicc frog legs." Fully withdrawing the case. You and TikTok fixed everything.

Dana A

IT IS BEQUEATHED!!!!

Anthony

"My patron isn't Asmodeus, it's Amsodius. It's spelled differently, they get that alot."

Tig

surprising coming from the founder of the Goo Gone Crew

Felix

Frogue!

cx

Truly the dynamic in these two eps is [chef’s kiss] but the should the statue do anything discussion coming from a room who were 80% obsessed with that random bird in fantasy high was just incredible. “They’re wasting insights on this statue??” Oh how the turntables

MLEbug

Fun fact: that bee was female. 😊

J Setting

Man. That Tiger thing is some real Flowers for Algernon shit.

King of the City Pigeons

I’ll never get any many questions on dungeon court because my players aren’t fucking psychos. I suppose I am okay with that.

Andrew PG Lusk
>>66128450

Using that site is technically piracy so if they do use it, it's probably better they don't broadcast about it.

Saru

Lou doing a full 180 in the short rest and becoming a DM-Justice is the funniest thing, ajdjdjdjs

Eryn

Definitely listened to this episode the day before returning to the Curse of Strahd campaign I'm in and proceeded to derail our session by metagaming my way into finding and befriending the tiger mentioned in this episode. (In my defense I did not know initially that my actions were going to lead me to the tiger but once my Circle of the Shepherd druid figures out there's a caged animal in her vicinity, what's she gonna do? NOT make friends with it?)

Little one

Thank you Slippery Pete for updating on Hush’s situation. It was way too much anxiety for the morning. Glad to hear they’re doing better. I hope you and your party are doing well. That’s a hard and emotionally pressing situation to be in.

Paul Westmore

What would a Nannerfly Effect episode look like in other campaigns? Trinyvale, Hot Boy Summer, Eldermourne/ Hexbloods?

Adam da Silva

Jake, the campaign is over, you've reunited with you son, and get to take a little "me" time. What is Hank's perfect day?

Stan BW

Ooh ooh can we get Brennan on a dungeon court? Particularly if it's with Lou or Zac again. I'd love to see what their DM dad has to say about their rulings

GREGORY WAGNER

The statue they should have to go look at is Rodin's "The Thinker" in Paris, and they should have to think about what they've done.

John lovesDesani

To Zac, you can’t just kick off your boots you got to use your hands, boots don’t slid off easy 😂😂😂

Seasquidley

I currently play a grung rogue in my campaign. He wears clothes, including gloves, and has NEVER accidentally poisoned something. I apply the poison to weapons but I also never unintentionally touch things. Additionally, grung already have to submerge in water once a day which is difficult enough without accidentally insta-killing horses!

Seasquidley

Okay yeah that's a different situation

Tess

COUNTERPOINT: if tiktok used heat metal on the cowboy boots, theoretically the only part of the boots that is metal is the Spurs, which wouldn’t be touching their skin….?. but agreed that it’s how they would have wanted to go 😔

Em D

Anyone else hear Zac’s “And then they have to buy a horse” comment that totally went under the radar?? Dying

NursingWounds

If you can kick off cowby boots that genuinely fit your feet correctly, I will eat a 10 gallon hat. Those things stay on when you get thrown from an effing horse with your feet in the stirrups.

Alison R

Just for accuracy, in prison they make dice from wet sand and glue inside a cardstock shell.

Andrew Stallworth

The people from the tiger case obviously have never played ape escape

Summer Tribe

shortened intro makes me sad

Gearbox

The statue players made me upset. The ruling was right, and imo should have a harsher punishment. Railroading is one thing but it's super rude to the DM for a player to actively not engage with content they've spent all week preparing if they have a good reason to do so, and instead try and force the dm to make new stuff up for you with no good reason.
