I’m so late to this episode but I fucking love Jake following his tree hugging instinct. It’s embarrassing sometimes but this life is so emotionally rewarding when you follow the positive vibes in your environment. I was a big tree climber and hugger as a kid, sometimes growing up makes you ashamed of the little joys in your heart. Jakes story has Inspired me to ignore that social anxiety so I can ground myself by connecting with more trees!

You really should consider a shield, Jake. With the shield mastery feat you can use it bash people down prone and reduce damage from incoming spells! Is there anything more badass than completely tanking a fireball with your shield and cone out unscathed?

Jake! I hug trees as well, I have a specific tree friend in my apartment complex that has given me comfort and advice and it's amazing. I recommend that everyone hug trees.

What about some of the other planes? I know there is the fey archipelago but what about hell and Pendigost or Lydia in Shadowfell?Did they cut themselves off from the metirial plane or do they have a place in our future Bahumia? Also is the part where Akarots phylactery cannon or not?

Hoping for another hearthside chat to ask this. But will dragon elves have some dragonborn racial features swapped out for elven features? Like instead of getting a cantrip (high elf) they can take a breath weapon from the dragonborn race instead?

I have to say, talking about the silly gun blade, if you're not already familiar let me 8ntroduce you to the Red Queen Sword from devil may cry 4/5. Where the handle of the sword is a motorcycle handle complete with clutch/brake lever that you "rev" up to make power strikes....

if Caldwell likes gunblades, ff14 has an entire tank class that uses a slightly different version of a gunblade! instead of the revolver/rapier kind of look Gunbreaker uses like, BIG sword and a...bigger revolver? yall use final fantasy as a lot of inspo and i reaaaallly can't recommend ff14 enough!

To Jake: Eldritch Knights requiring managing spell slots can be avoided if Murph allows you to use the Dungeon Master's Guide's alternative "spell points" system where you instead spend points to cast spells. Do note: the math the leveling progression uses in the alternative rules uses is inaccurate to the normal progression since it divides your level by three and then rounds down rather than rounding up.
