Here's what my Mr. Toad detective work provided. In 1990 there was a tv series with an episode about Mr. Toad's birthday, it was released late in May, meaning he is, I believe, a Gemini. I'd have to watch the episode in question to be sure however, since part of the plot is him getting obsessed with astrology. Um Actually... Caldwell and Emily say Emily's last name 'Axford' would smell of Axes. This name would actually either etymologically stem from either Oxford (meaning a shallow part of a river used for Oxen to cross) or Ashford (meaning the shallow part of the river you can use to cross near the Ash Trees), so Emily's last name could actually still smell of rain as those areas are commonly under a lot of rainfall.
