As a huuuuge Beverage Enthusiast, Emily makes me feel so seen in these. I've always gotta have 2-3 in rotation, at least one of which is imbibed via my reusable stainless steel straw.

Ryley D

First and loving the content

joel

move over astrology, it's Big Man/Little Guy time

Leila Elliott

I'm so glad we're getting to see more of y'all on camera! 👏

Canid Duality

When he's a 10 but doesn't want cafeterias in schools.

Sonja Maitland

Nah mate the dog went to heaven the first time (because all dogs go to heaven). Then he steals the wind up watch and starts it again. And Angel is all like "Charlie you can't come back if you rewind your watch!" I just think you gotta watch it for the mixed bag so you can brush up on your All Dogs Go to Heaven lore 😜

Cianistarle

Murph is the second popular DM that I have noticed has oddly elegant fingers that move in a fascinating way.

bread

Holy shit the airplane d&d session thing was so funny! Really liking the video format, it adds a lot imo. :)

Paul Commane

The Spelljammer Rebellion is definitely a scenario to break out "an old man with seven small birds" to take your world out of the other DM's game and bring back any dead characters. Even if you're just planning to end the game (because that other DM and the players are absurd), at least one final hurrah as Emily suggested to outline what was going to be missed before you drop the full force of justice

Lorelei and Kyra Newly Weds

SO YOURE THE ONES IN THE PLANE ON GTA 4. Well I don't appreciate the burning of fuel on purpose, I do appreciate the cover while I'd drop up against the front tire and shoot cops when I was a kid.

Eee.eeeeeeeeee

Once I had to play the first half of a game over the phone, while driving to it, and described my character pulling out his eyeball while checking out a gas station. Cashier was surprisingly unfased

Kenzi Perkins

I love watching Caldwell react to the questions as they’re read. It kills me! But I also love seeing their faces since (during the whole podcast) I picture their expressions a lot

Dave 3D Art

Yes, I was a Stranger Kid. Thank you for accepting my repentance.

Martian

I love the theological and metaphysical discussions about All Dogs Go to Heaven

Brian Tatosky

I keep thinking the submissions to Court can't get more crazy and then I am constantly wrong. And yes, video makes this even better!

Joey FIle

These brighten my day, praise Dice Christ!

Crits

I almost played with someone who uses the same character across all campaigns multiverse style, but I didnt end up playing because she insisted I couldnt play a rogue because her character was a rogue and that the character was too precious to her to have her toes stepped on by another rogue in the party. As a rule of thumb, probably avoid those players.

Rei

As someone who attended school in Japan as well as the US, no need for cafeterias. We sat at our desk, we had one meal choice, it was delicious and that’s what you ate.

RuinedDruid

Loving the video format with DnD court!

B0n3D4ddy

yep! i was truly convinced by bailiff john, im onboard for the no cafeteria policy

Jesse De La Rosa

What were the 2 drinks you were drinking at the same time Mrs. Axford?

Lori P.

As someone who plays on Roll 20 alot, the standard is that you take the first number (the one on the left) if your toggle is on but you don't actually have advantage or disadvantage. A lot of players leave their toggle on advantage all the time and most DMs i play with prefer this. A DM telling you to turn it off is pretty uncommon. A dm turning it off for you or telling you to reroll or leave is insane.

Lori P.

To answer murphs question, yes, if the first number was a nat 1 I would absolutely take it. Because, again, this is THE STANDARD for Roll 20. No matter what your toggle is set to you take the first number unless you have advantage or disadvantage. Its not at all like rolling the dice on the floor. You don't get to roll again if your toggle wasn't where you thought it was. You ALWAYS take the first number.

Brandon R

It’s pretty standard on roll20 to leave the advantage roller on and just take the first number and ignore the second unless you have advantage/disadvantage, I’m pretty sure Roll20 even suggests playing that way. The DM from the first case was just being a jerk, especially when the roll in question was just for initiative and wasn’t a critical hit or anything.

Xue Grimm

I’m pretty sure in All Dogs go to Heaven the dog isn’t given the watch, he steals it

billy nuttall

I’m another player on Roll 20 a lot and I’ll back up that if you accidentally roll disadvantage or advantage, you pick the first number. That DM was on a bit of a power trip.

Emma

I totally agree. In our campaign we just never turn off advantage and just take the first number. Nat 20 should have stood 🤷‍♀️

Tristan Belzer

This is all I could think about. I’d appeal the verdict but there are no higher courts

Dragoneye

Emily's dead stare into the camera at 42:45 followed by the long "Yeeaahh" hahah

Witch of the Wandering Thought

“THE DEVIL WAS A CAT!! HE WAS A CAT DEVIL” My boyfriend heard me shout inexplicably from the kitchen…

Brandon R

Yeah I tend to agree with the court 99% of the time but this was a miscarriage of Justice.

dea

multiple people died during the birthday party session run for nine year olds? absolutely wild

Katy Tacik

Cases all very funny, natch, but also Emily's boots are super cute

I Had Something For This

Wait so if the dog in All Dogs Go To Heaven was on a boat made of bones, isn’t that still considered heavenly by dog standards? The math here is dubious.

Anthony Ferguson

Ugh, the first case bothers me so much. I know they're just not familiar with roll20, but man. An innocent man was wronged!

Nitzan Harel

In my country there are no cafeterias in schools, and kids just bring meals from home. Works great for us.

Erin Paxson

Loved the ep, made me have a dream about my middle school cafeteria lololol :)

Grass

Emily’s opinions are good and I want to hear more all the time

Jack

I’m glad to see others uncomfortable with the miscarriage of justice in the first case. Playing on Roll20 as a primary tool for the game, this kind of thing happens all the time and it’s easy to tell which die was first and just use that number. I honestly think it’s presumptuous to say that they wouldn’t have tried to take that number if it were a 1, insinuating that they’re gaming the system on the advantage toggle. Even if the DM wanted a reroll, going and altering the character sheet to take features away is overstepping.

Thomas Voit

Oh, i thought the video feed was just some insider joke. Nope :D

Dr. Eggman

Emily's whole outfit is so good

Vinny Cigola

Just to throw it out there Umm Actually style, in All Dogs Go To Heaven Charlie is greeted by the angel dog and told that he is dead and has to stay in heaven, during her tour of heaven he see's "his watch" which was effectively his lifes timer, he proceeds to steal the watch and rewind it so he can go back, the angelic presence warns him that because he stole the watch he can never come back but as is tradition for 90's children's movies he learns his lesson and redeems himself and gets to go back when he dies the next time. Also fun fact hell in the All Dogs Go To Heaven is run by cats.

Squishy, Pawpaw's Brushtail Possum lover

It may please balif John to know that Australian schools don't have cafeterias. Kids just sit outside on the floor or on benches if there are any avalible. But they are not allowed to eat in the classrooms as those are locked when there are no teachers inside.

Lil’ Stinky

I know this was 100 years ago but I could not believe the wrongness of their roll 20 takes hahahaha I love y'all but in a roll20 game, those toggles are a menace. Accidents like that happen literally all the time, I've never seen a DM react like that! It's always just take the first roll. Tons of players just leave advantage on all the time and take the first.
