About three days ago I said I was going to post a small game for my Patrons before the end of 2025, a sort of interactive animation. To do that I'd have to complete the project in just three days. I'm not sure how, but somehow I did it.

In truth I didn't make this game in just three days, instead I wrote much of the code over the year. Notably, the facial expression and lipsyncing subsystem was written about a year ago. Maybe you remember, but I wrote it for a small prototype game I never shared. That prototype also featured an original succubus character, an earlier version of this one. At the time I made two animations by capturing gameplay.

Some of that code was reused here, which is why it was possible to complete this in just three days. However, much had to be written from scratch as well, notably the user interface.

I've always wanted to "play" one of my own animations, to interact with the girls in real time and have them react. That was my main motivation behind this project. I wanted to play such a game myself, but also to share it with you guys.

The whole game consists of a single scene. It isn't any indie masterpiece or anything, but it is an interactive version of one of my animations, fully voiced and fairly polished. Think of it as an interactive animation.

The rules are very simple, you control what she does by selecting one of the options. The counter that appears unlocks a new option every 25 points, and it goes up to 100. Advancing to the newest option increases the counter a bit faster while not doing so makes it go slower. Once you get to 100 a cutscene will play. She will verbally react to what you choose and sometimes make comments. These aren't scripted but instead randomized based on the situation.

I didn't bother with an exit menu. If you press esc the game will fade out gracefully and send you back to desktop in a few seconds.

Originally I was going to share this through Itchio(a well-known platform for indie games), but apparently Patreon now allows individual files that are up to five gigabyte in size. This means I can also make it available on here as a zip file(it's about 750MB uncompressed). So if you're interested in playing this, assuming I didn't make any stupid mistakes while packaging it, it should be just a matter of downloading the zip. The Unreal Engine automatically adds dependencies, but since there's no installer if you need any of those dependencies you will need to browse to the redist folder.

This is NOT the hack 'n slash game I mentioned in the past. Instead, this is one of its subsystems, a sex mini-game I've designed to allow this kind of interaction with the girls outside of combat. I used the sex mini-game as a template for this project.

I'm going to add more options and interactivity to this game, which is why some options are greyed out. Remember, I wanted to finish this in three days, which I somehow have. Now that we have the full thing we can make it fuller yet by just taking a few extra days to add more options. The point is that even if I could've added more stuff, I added enough that it's still a full thing start to finish in a presentable state(hopefully, if it runs as expected).

By the way I didn't test any resolutions except 1080p because it's a fairly common and performant resolution for a general case. I have no idea what the menu will look like in a different resolution, though hopefully it won't break. I also didn't provide settings customization. This is easy to do but it takes some time so I skipped it. Instead the game is running at high settings. I can't say for sure how this is going to run on systems that are substantially different from mine. Any conjecture is pointless so please let me know how it runs for you if you decide to run this.

By the way, the internal name of the project is "ProjectDiscipline". Originally I was going to make her a maid, hence the name, but in the end I went with the Succubus. I call it "personal succubus".

Anyway, this is my last post of the year, and I'm happy that I managed to complete this in time. Hope you will like it, even if it's quite simple. I'll be back next Sunday, as usual.
