I'll let you know a little Easter Egg with this one. LSV is actually from the Bay Area and a Warriors fan, so it adds an extra level of detail to this comic. I'm actually from the Bay Area as well as also a huge Warriors fan. Want an another fun fact? Back when I was younger, I used to sometimes play Magic at a sportscard store in Cupertino, California called Superstars. The store was owned by this guy who was huge sports memorabilia guy, but he let his son run the Magic tournaments and sell Magic cards in one corner of the store. The son's name was Jon Sasso. Many years later, the dad passed away, so the son took over the store, eventually making it exclusively for games. And do you know what he renamed the store? Channel Fireball!

Oh, so much nostalgia buried in this post and your notes! I loved Superstars and CFB. I met LSV playing Vintage back at Eudemonia in Summer 2006 (I was an intern at Intel). He remembered me then when I made it to Pro Tour Hollywood in May 2008. And I finally moved to the Bay Area for work in August 2008 and started playing a lot more with/against him locally. That was quite the era. I truly miss having him out here (and those old days of Vintage/Legacy).

That's crazy. I played a handful Vintage tournaments at Eudemonia between 2007 and 2010 when I was working at UC Berkeley. I was playing a lot of Welder at the time. I never ran into LSV. I remember playing David Ochoa, but he destroyed me pretty easily.
